At the very break of dawn, the group was up to see more of Staten Island. Rosaline was just bursting with excitement. She was determined to keep her mind off Anthony, who she was still angry with.

Kenny was still giving Spot somewhat of the cold shoulder for his comment the night before, so she was involving herself in Rosaline's plan.

Spot, on the other hand, kept his mind on Kenny, and only Kenny. He was aching to be alone with her, convinced he could get forgiveness with his "charms". That, or he'd take his shirt off if he had to.

"Everyone ready to go?" Doe asked sweetly, straightening her cap.

"I truly do hope we can see a sunset today," Rosaline breathed. "I keep missing out on the 'beautiful Brooklyn sunsets' I've been promised."

"That's 'cause you's and Race like to take care of business with the blinds closed," Spot grinned. "As fa us, we like a view,"

Kenny scowled at Spot, and Rosaline huffed.

"Don't you worry, they're beautiful here too." Doe said, breaking the tension. "Let's head toward the pier."

The group walked down the streets, people bustling about. Kenny loved how the air was fresh, unlike the polluted air of Manhattan. She wondered briefly if she could live here. It was quiet, but upbeat. The pace was somewhere in the middle of relaxing and rushed.

Then again, Spot would never leave his precious Brooklyn.

The thought made her sick. She paused from walking, confused on the nausea she was feeling.

"Kendall, are you alright?" Rosaline asked. Spot stopped in his tracks to be by her side.

"Yes, sorry. Doe, what were you saying?"

"Staten Island was founded in 1661 by..."

Kenny looked at Spot who was completely zoned out. He was never one for history. She did notice that he was zoned out, but zoned in on her.

She looked away to keep herself from blushing. No matter how close or comfortable they got, he still had the ability to give her butterflies.

This action did not go unnoticed by Spot. He knew he had her blushing. He brushed his hand near hers, feeling a spark between the two. She flinched, and tried to keep her composure. She tried to remind herself she was not happy with him at the moment.

"If I didn't know any better, you's avoidin' eye contact." Spot said quietly to her.

"I don't know what you're talking about," Kenny said, her eyes fixed on the water in front of them.

"Why don't ya wanna look at me?"

She felt his finger turn her chin to look up at him. She felt fire in his touch, so she swatted his hand away.

He sighed in defeat, watching her bounce away to join Rosaline and Doe. He would somehow charm her back into his arms.

He wanted her very much.

Eric walked about Staten Island, in hopes of spotting Kendall. He had gotten so very close, and would've been successful had it not been for her little group surrounding her.

"You just have to get her away from that damned little Brooklynite," His father growled.

Eric had grown tired of his father pacing in front of him. Here they sat, hiding from the world in a small motel room.
