The van hit another bump when Breeze finally awoke. Her cut had finished bleeding but it looked horrible now. Shades of sickly green surrounded the wound.

“Poison…” Breeze managed to mutter as she rested her body against the wall. Hearth looked over at me, still looking real mad at me.

“Don’t you still have that rive?” He asked me, eyeing my pocket. I shook my head. “No, the security dude patted me down and took it from me.”

“And your weapon?”

“Took it as well..”

“Great, just great! We are weaponless and medicineless, when we need them the most they just go away!” Hearth snarled as he slumped down against the wall.

Breeze slightly turned her head to him, “Complaining isn’t going to get us out of the van.” She slumped back down, the poison seemed to be really draining the energy out of her.

Hearth’s anger melted as he looked at her condition. He looked at the doors of the van, “Maybe if I use fire..”

The smell of smoke began to writhe through the van. He was trying to burn the ropes but it rendered useless at the steel like ropes.

“It doesn’t work.” I noted as I tried to get up from the floor.

“At least I’m trying.” Hearth snapped as he began sweating. “I just need to push myself harder.”

“You’re exhausting yourself, you need to stop.” I ordered, finally managing to stand. Suddenly, the van took another bump that basically destroyed my progress and sent me crashing to the floor.

“Hey, flower boy, how about you stop trying to boss me around!” He shouted as he stood up.

“I wasn’t! I was just suggesting you to stop, of course a numbskull like you can’t understand that!”

That unleashed his anger, “We wouldn’t be in this mess if it weren’t for you! This is all your fault! You wanted to follow a complete and total stranger, it was you that dragged us into this stupid quest stuff!”

“At least I wasn’t the one who fell into the one place we were told not to go in! Now, we were sent on a quest because you actually followed that animal into meeting that Luna lady!” We kept bickering aggressively, throwing personal comments here and there and we would’ve continued if it weren’t for Breeze.

“Boys, please!” Breeze said loudly as she unsteadily stood. She nearly fell before regaining her balance. “This arguing..It’s ridiculous. Blaming each other is not going to help us get anywhere! We need to work together as a team if we want to make it out alive. If we continue we’ll end up like..” she was out of breath out when she nearly finished and collapsed.

Hearth swiftly caught her before her face met the ground.

The only sound echoed throughout the van was Breeze’s raspy breathing as Hearth cradled her head on his lap.

“She’s right y’know..” He finally spoke. “We have to work together if we want out of this.”

I nodded in agreement but before I could say anything the van suddenly came to a halt. The doors opened and stood there was the security guard.

“I’m afraid you won’t be getting out of this anytime soon, Mr. Santos.”

Have you ever been levitated by an outside not-so-friendly force? Let me tell you: it’s not nice. Apparently, the security guard was in a “playful” mood because at moments he would drop me for a split second before picking me up again and lurching me up in the air with a jolt.
