Chapter 3
Natalie
The next few days were okay. Ryan wasn't as bad as I expected. I was putting on my shoes for school, when Ryan rushed into my room.
"What's up?" I asked.
"Were going to be late!" He replied.
"Calm down, it's the first day of school anyways."
"You don't understand, if I'm late I'll get kicked off the football team."
"Why?" I asked as I got my nbackpack.
"Mr. Derek is a huge pain in the ass with attendance, so if your done lets go."
"I wanna eat though"
He gave me a 'shut up' look.
"Now." He demanded.
"Alright."
He grabbed my arm and dragged me down the stairs, out the door and into his navy blue jeep. He started the jeep before I was even in it.
"Ryan, dude settle down, we'll make it in time, I promise."
He backed out of the drive way, without a word and went almost 36 miles per hour. Next thing I knew, we were at Roosevelt High School. It was wide and maybe two stories high. It was a dark brown color with huge, bold, snow white letters at the top that said, "Roosevelt High."
"I know I told you I'd help you find all your classes and locker, but I have to go okay." Ryan explained.
I gave him a 'are you serious' look.
"No, your helping me-"
Before I could finish, he took off running with a huge red bag.
"Ryan!"
He didn't look back. Great, now what the hell was I suppose to do? I walked into the school and I tried to find my locker number, 465. We came here a few days ago and they showed us where our classes were at, but they forgot to mention the lockers. I walked down the long hallway, getting stares by people I didn't know. Apparently they thought that if they whispered I wouldn't be able to hear them, but whatever I was to focused on finding this locker to care. I followed the numbers on the other lockers, 391, 392, 393, I was close. The hallway ended with locker number 400, so I had to take a right then a left. After what seemed forever, I finally reached my locker. I opened it with no difficulties.
"Hi! My name is Lizzie Miller! What's yours?! I heard your new around here!?"
I turned around and a girl with straight, blonde hair, beautiful light green eyes and an ear-to-ear smile was next to me.
"Yeah, I'm new. I'm Natalie."
"It's so cool that we have a new student right next to my locker! Like I said, I'm Lizzie and I want to be your friend!"
I shut my locker and looked at Lizzie.
"Okay. Yeah, sure. Umm, since your my friend now, where do I go?"
She took my schedule and looked at it.
"No way! You have Biology 1 with me!"
"Really? Cool."
"You don't seem that excited. Is there something wrong? Did I scare you?"
"No no, umm, it's just, I'm kinda ticked off."
"Why?"
"Ryan was suppose-"
"Ryan Wade?!" Lizzie proclaimed interrupting me.
