Chapter 8
Natalie
I woke up, got dressed and met Ryan in the Jeep.
"Did you sleep better?" He asked as he pulled out of the driveway.
"Much better."
"Good."
We finally got to school. We got out, said our goodbyes and went our separate ways.
"Attention students of Roosevelt High, we will be having an assemble today in the gymnasium, about our first fundraiser. The assemble will be held first period. That is all."
"We do not have an assembly." I mumbled to myself and walked to the gym.
"Hey!" Lizzie yelled.
"Hey." I responded.
"You know what the assembly is about right?" Lizzie asked.
Before I could answer her, Dominick came towards up.
"What's up ladies?" He asked.
"Nothing, just talking." Lizzie.
"Cool, cool." He replied.
"Yeah, so what's the meeting about?" I asked Lizzie.
"It's about the first fundraiser. To raise money for our prom in advance."
"Are you serious? Those things last forever!" Dominick proclaimed.
"Ugh! You know what, I don't feel like doing crap. Wanna ditch?" I asked.
"Ditch?" Lizzie and Dominick asked Simultaneously.
I gave them a confused face, while they looked at each other.
"You guys act like you've never ditched class... and it's not even class." I told them as I started to walk.
"I have, I just didn't think you'd have this bad girl side" Dominick told me as they followed me.
"Haha." I responded with a smile.
"Yeah, Natalie. What a rebel. Haha." Lizzie told.
We talked about me being a "bad girl" until we reached a table and sat down.
"So where were you yesterday?" Lizzie asked me.
"At Dominick's, why?"
"Becuase I tried texting you, but you never answered me." Lizzie asked.
"Really?" I asked as I pulled my phone out. And sure enough, there were three unread messages and two phone calls.
"Did you get them?" She asked.
"Yeah, just did. I'm sorry, I was too busy kicking Dominick's butt in Black Ops."
"For the record, I went easy on you." He replied.
"Why? It's because I'm Italian isn't it?" I told him.
"No! Because, you're a girl, and I didn't even know you were Italian..." He responded.
"I'm not. I was just kidding. I wish I were though. Haha, and I could beat you again, if we played."
"Challenged accepted." He responded as he winked at me.
"God, you guys act like its War World III." Lizzie explained as she giggled.
"You don't know the life of a gamer." I responded.
"That's right. It's pretty serious." Dominick replied.
We all laughed as I felt my phone vibrate. The number wasn't recognizable. The message read, "Where are you guys?"
