"Derek, We came up with a different plan. The pack is almost there and it's my time to jump in and finish it. After tonight. Things will change. I don't know who will make it out tonight. Or even if I will. So if i don't. This message is for that. If i do I'll be sure to delete this before you can hear it. But just know. I'm sorry. I'm sorry for not giving you the benefit of the doubt. I shouldn't have given up so easy. I'm sorry I let this come between us. I should've been more stubborn to let you go as I usually am. I wish we had more time. More time to be back. To hug. To kiss. To sleep next to one another. To be everything we were. To have kids. I'm sorry I had to leave. I love you so much and I forgive you beyond a doubt. I hope you can forgive me for leaving. I love you forever, D. I'll always watch over you. You got this. Until I see you again. Goodbye." Derek clicked the end button on his phone. Tears fell from his eyes. It had been 6 days since they defeated and killed Kate. Correction. Since Cadence gave her life to take Kate's. Derek couldn't bring himself to listen to the voicemail that was on his phone after he saw it. The last few days bounced around in his head as it got harder to breathe.

Deaton took the dead queen out of Derek's arms. This was deja vu to Derek because of Paige. The whole pack and hunters just stayed in their spots. Not daring to make a move. The first to go were the Calaveras. Their time here was no longer needed. They left the pack to mourn. All supernatural everywhere felt a loss. The people not close or at the event when it happened had no idea. Other than 2 Hale's that had moved on from Beacon for awhile. And the beta who long ago asked if they could talk more because he was so comfortable around her. Supernatural everywhere felt lost.
But Derek.
Oh Derek.
Derek felt a different loss. He lost his best friend. Pain. He lost his wife. Pain. He lost his queen. Pain. It was the second time someone he loved died in his arms. Pain. He never got to rebuild what he broke. Pain.
He lost his everything.
Pain.

Derek stepped foot into his loft one last time.
"Are you really leaving?" Scott asked from behind.
"I have to. This town.. I've lost everything here. My family. My wife. My everything. All this town is good for is hurting me." Derek let out.
"I understand. But where are you going?"
"Probably South America. Peter went there a few months back to be with Cora. So I'll go join them. So I can be with the only ones I have left." Derek walked out and didn't look back. He got into his car and looked at the passenger seat.
It was empty.
He let out a breath and started driving.

She woke up with a gasp.
"Cadence. You shouldn't be here." Talia said.
"What? Why not? What's going on?" Cadence asked and looked around. It was only her and Allison with Cadence.
"Kate's dead. You did it. But you're not supposed to be dead." Allison said.
"Then what's going on?" Cadence asked.
"We don't know. You shouldn't have died from your injuries. You should have healed. She didn't get your heart. I mean. She got close. But she didn't get it." Talia spoke.
"Then what am I doing here?" Cadence asks since she's apparently not supposed to be there.
"We don't know. I guess you just gave up and didn't let your werewolf side take over. You were ready to die." Allison said.
