Third Person POV
It's been 3 months since the La iglesia events happened, and The Calaveras, Argents, or the Hale wolf can't narrow down where Kate is or might be. They've tried splitting up but it's like she knows where the least experienced hunting parties are. She's taken out 3 groups already. But, they have tracked her back to into the States.
"Have you heard anything from anyone in Beacon Hills?" Derek asked Cadence and she shook my head.
"No. Have you?" She asked.
"Actually yeah. Scott said that last night, he was attacked by this creature. He said he had the face and body of a werewolf. But he had talon like claws that glowed blue. Scott beat him, but that was all." He explained what either Scott told him or texted him.
"They're Seniors now." Cadence said, with disbelief written all over her face. "I remember when i first came to Beacon Hills, they were just sophomores. Allison.... She would've graduated this year." She tells him, with guilt running through her veins, wishing things were different.
"I know, C. But she died doing what she loved, saving her friends, being with her friends, being with Scott." He softy said, while he held her. "Hey, lets get your mind off of it. Our Wedding is in three months. October 3rd. Remember?" He asks his fiance, who was just smiling at him.
"Yes, I have my wedding dress hidden, everything has been taken out of our hands." She says, referring to the Banshee and Nurse back in Beacon Hills who messaged, called, and video chatted with the Queen of her and Derek's preferences. "I trust them and I know it will be such a wonderful day and we will finally get married." Cadence reassures Derek, knowing things had been tense between them just days before.
Flashback:
"YOU CAN"T JUST RUN OUT THERE AND DO SOMETHING LIKE THAT! YOU COULD'VE BEEN KILLED!" Derek shouted at his unharmed, pissed off fiance who ALMOST had Kate in her hands.
"I ALMOST HAD HER BUT YOU HAD TO INTERFERE! I AM THE ONLY ONE WHO CAN TAKE HER DOWN WITHOUT NEEDING SPECIAL WEAPONS AND BULLETS! WHY CAN'T YOU JUST TRUST ME?! I know what I'm doing." The couple was arguing back and forth, like they had been for over a week now.
"Yes! I'm aware of that, but I'm also aware of that baby in your stomach. You can't just throw yourself into a fight every time you see her." Derek started out harsh, but got softer with his tone. She knew he was right but the opportunity was right in front of her face. How could she not?
Flashback Over.
....
A week later
Cadence and Araya are going over weapons in the basement of one of the many Calaveras homes spanning through North and South America.
"Cadence," Araya calls out to get her attention. "I think its best if you and Derek separate yourselves from us." She says, in a soft tone.
"Why? We are making progress and we almo---" Cadence tries to argue but Araya quickly cuts her off.
"You're pregnant. Almost 10 weeks. Your wedding is less than three months away. The Calaveras and your dad can handle it from here. You and Derek have been a tremendous help, but we can't have you or the baby get hurt. You and Derek are an asset to us, yes, but w will call you when we need you." Araya says. She has always been gentle with Cadence, even from the moment she was place into the Argent family.
"You're right. Derek has been saying the same thin. Maybe I should listen. But when you catch her, call me. I'll be on the next plane here." Cadence submits to what both Derek and Araya are telling her and she leaves to go upstairs to where her and Derek are stating. She quickly finds Derek reading while on the bed. "Derek, Araya wants us to leave the hunting party because she doesn't want to put me or the baby in danger." Cadence says while making her way over to the bed.
