they sit side by side, watching clouds come and go. both have blankets, but neither are bothered by the cold.
"you feel like home." he looked at her.
"what do you mean?" she took a deep breath.
"i've never really felt comfortable with people. i've always felt excluded and alone. but with you, it's different." he stared at her intently. "i don't feel excluded or alone. i feel peaceful, safe. i feel genuinely happy." she turned, looking him in the eyes. "you're the closest i have ever felt to being at 'home.' i like being with you."
he smiled and grabbed her hand, gently bringing it to his lips.
"you're my home, darling. you have been since i met you. i don't want you to ever leave me."
that night, as she sat with her head on his shoulder, they both made a silent promise to never leave each other.
