the night was cold, snow everywhere. she huddled closer to him as they shared blankets and hot cocoa.

"you know, sometimes i question your sanity." she looked at him.

"and why is that?" he kept his eyes on the white wonderland around them, barely sparing her a glance.

"because you come outside in the middle of the night when it's literally freezing. because you let a random guy sit by you every night without question. because you're so unique and amazing that nobody sane could possibly even compare." he stared down at her. "because you make me feel alive."

she smiled at him with a look full of love.

"i could say the same about you. you stay up and talk with a random girl. you believe in me more than i believe in myself. nobody sane would ever do the things you do for me." she snuggled closer. "but you know what?"

"what?"

"i love that about you. i have since i met you and i always will." he smiled.

"maybe it's a good thing neither of us are sane. if we were, this would have never happened." she looked at the snow.

"maybe."
