(A/n I know F.P. isn't like this now but for the sake of the story this is how he acts.
If you're confused by what I just put continue reading and it will hopefully make sense.)
My sleep was interrupted by the trailer door slamming open. "Jughead!" My dad bellowed as he drunkenly walked over towards me.
Betty rubbed her eyes and lifted herself off my lap.
"Who's this pretty little lady?" Dad slurred as he put his hand under Betty's chin.
I smacked his hand away and stood between her and my dad. "Don't touch her." I practically growled.
Dad glared at me. "Don't you talk to me like that boy."
"Don't touch a girl without their permission and maybe I won't." I retorted.
I was quickly silenced though when he punched me in the face. Even though he was drunk he was still extremely strong.
Betty gasped and I put my hand up to my cheek. I was about to yell at my dad again but before I could Betty had stood up and put herself between my dad and I. "Don't you dare lay another hand on him." Betty told him.
He chuckled deeply at her reaction. "Sweet heart, I wouldn't test me if I were you. I could destroy you in seconds." My dad said with an evil glint in his eyes.
I watched as Betty clenched her fists and before I could react she punched my dad in the face, causing him to stumble back and, in his drunken state, trip over his feet and fall down.
"We need to go," I told her, grabbing her wrist, "now!"
I yanked her out of the trailer and outside. The thunderstorm had stopped and it was only drizzling now.
I heard my dad yell as we hopped on to my motorcycle. "Hold on!" I yelled at Betty and sped away just as my dad burst out of the trailer.
"How do you know where I live?" Betty asked me as we pulled up to her house.
I smirked. "I have my ways."
She looked at me questionably but quickly let it go. "Let's go inside." She said grabbing my wrist.
I stayed in place though. "I'm not sure Betty. I doubt your family would be thrilled to have me over so I'll just go home."
"You didn't give me a choice to get on your motorcycle so I'm not giving you a choice now. You're coming inside." She told me.
I sighed. "Fine."
She unlocked the front door with a spare key they had hidden. "You won't have to worry about my parents either. They're gone for a few days so it's just me."
I relaxed slightly when she told me that. I bet her parents wouldn't be to happy about a Southside Serpent being in their house.
"Go sit on the couch." She commanded before walking away.
I looked around her house as I sat down. Not a minute later Betty came back with a first aid kit. "What's that for?" I asked.
"You." She said as if it was obvious. "You have a busted lip and your left eye is starting to swell up." She explained.
I guess I had gotten so used to him hitting me that I didn't even notice anymore.
She kneeled in front of me and quickly went to work on cleaning me up. I winced in pain when she cleaned the cut in my lip.
"Sorry." She apologized, seeing my reaction.
I watched as her eyebrows scrunched in concentration. Without a word she left the room then came back a minute later with a bag of frozen peas and a towel. "I couldn't find any ice packs so you'll have to deal with peas."
She wrapped the frozen peas in a towel then handed them to me. "Thank you." I told her as I pressed the temporary ice pack to my eye.
She was cleaning up the first aid kit when I spoke up. "How did you get so good with treating cuts?" I asked as I watched her intently. She tensed up but acted like she didn't hear my question.
"Betty I know you heard me. How did you get so good at this stuff?" I clenched my fists as different possibilities swarmed my head. "Does someone hurt you?" I asked angrily.
She shook her head and sat down on the couch next to me. "No. No one hurts me."
"Then why do you know how to do these things?"
She stared at me and I held her gaze. Eventually she sighed and looked away. "What you're about to see, you can't tell anyone about, swear?"
"I swear." I told her.
"I don't even know why I'm doing this." She mumbled before opening her hands.
That's when I saw the crescent moon shaped scars that were on both her hands.
"What..."
"It mostly happens when I'm angry." She explained. "Sometimes I don't even realize I'm doing it."
I enclosed her hands in mine. She sat there and stared at our hands as I watched her. "Jughead," she said, breaking the silence, "I'll go in a date with you."
I smiled. "Really?" I asked excitedly.
She giggled and nodded. "Yes."
I sat there and smiled at her. "Are you hungry?" She asked.
"Always." I joked.
She smiled and walked into the kitchen. "We don't really have much!" She yelled as she looked in her fridge.
She rummaged through the cupboards. "We have Mac and cheese." She suggested, shaking the box.
I chuckled. "That works."
She started making the Mac and cheese. "You know we have hot cocoa if you want to make some." She joked, making me remember how I failed at making that just a few hours ago.
I glared at her playfully and she giggled.
Once she was done she put it into two bowls and set one down in front of me. "Eat up." She stated before taking a bite.
It was quiet for a minute. "Thank you again Jughead, for everything." She said.
I put my hand on hers. "You never have to thank me."
And just like that we spent the rest of the night eating, laughing, and watching TV.

FanfictionJust a bunch of Oneshots for one of the cutest couples ever. Most of the stories will be just Bughead fluff. If it's a mature theme (it probably won't be) I'll give you a heads up. Swearing isn't very common in this book but it is there. But it's...
