I looked around Betty and I. "Well this is a nice change of scenery."
She glared at me. "Jughead, we're in a jail cell!"
"I was being sarcastic!"
"I can't believe you convinced me to do that." Betty said as she rubbed her forehead.
"You can't say it wasn't fun though." I smiled.
She smiled back at me. "True."
"Did you see the look on Chuck's face when we smashed the windows on his car?" I asked.
She laughed. "Yes! It was priceless!"
Our laughter was cut short when the sheriff walked over to us.
"Jughead! Betty! What the heck are you guys doing here!"
I waved my hand slightly. "Hi dad."
"Hi Mr. Jones!"
"What did you to do?" My dad asked.
"We might have smashed the windows on Chuck Clayton's car."
Betty was sitting on the floor laughing.
"So are you going to let us out?" I questioned.
"No." He said. Betty stopped laughing. "You both get to sleep there tonight and then I'll let you out tomorrow."
"But dad..."
"No Jughead." He said, cutting me off. "Goodnight to both of you. I'll see you in the morning."
Betty and I watched as my dad walked out.
"Well I think it was worth it." Betty said as she sat next to me on the single cot in our cell.
I wrapped my arm around her. "Yeah. Thanks for being my partner in crime."
She kissed my cheek. "Anytime."
