Chapter 1: Turf Session

"Last minute! Let's crush them!" exclaimed Tailsy.

It was the last minute of the match during the Splatfest, and she was determined to win despite losing in the first minute of the match. Her teammates are a short-haired Inkling named Magenta, and the two Octolings were named Luci and Turquoise.

As soon as the timer hit zero, the whistle was heard, signaling that the match has ended.

"Phew... that was close," said Tailsy.

"I'll say," Turquoise replied.

The turf was being calculated and, in a few seconds, the results were revealed.

"Great!" said Magenta. "We won."

"Yup. Those guys were tough, but we still managed to win!" said Tailsy. "Well. Chalk one more win for the Squilicious team!" "Yeah!" Magenta and Luci shouted.

The girls start to walk out of the Deca Tower. The Splatfest was still ongoing as they were walking out.

"Hey..., Tailsy?" said Luci. "Yeah?" Tailsy replied. "What is it?" "Do you...still hate me after...what happened in the past?" Luci asked. Tailsy sigh a little before putting her hand on Luci's shoulder. "Can we talk...in private?" Tailsy said. "S-Sure." Luci replied.

As both Tailsy and Luci started to walk into a different direction, Turquoise started to notice, "Hey." She said. "Where are you two going?"

"Oh. We will be right back. Go get something to eat if you like!" Tailsy replied. "Okay," Turquoise replied back. "Don't take too long!" "We won't," Tailsy replied back as both her and Luci started to walk away.

A few minutes later, they've arrived at the top of an unknown building. Tailsy was looking at the view as Luci began to look at her.

"So, why did you bring us here?" She asked. Tailsy let out a small sigh. "Luci...," she said as she slowly looks at her. "It's fine..." "But I...," Tailsy then immediately interrupt her. "Luci, it's fine. Don't worry about it. That was the past. This is the present. Besides, it is not a good idea to talk about the past...it is best to think about the future." "Are you sure...?" Luci asked. "I am sure," Tailsy replied, giving her a slight hug. "Like I said. Don't worry about it. It is fine. I forgive you. Heck, I don't even hate you either way." "Well...okay." Tailsy let out a small smile and said, "You are a great friend. I love playing turf with you!" Luci smile back at her. "Thanks!" Tailsy lets her go. "Let's go back! They're probably waiting for us and don't like waiting," she said. "Okay," Luci replied. 10 minutes later, they walk to where Turquoise and Magenta are at.

"What took you so long?" Turquoise asked. "That was like approximately 25 minutes long." "Sorry," said Tailsy. "It's okay!" said Magenta. "What matters is that you both are back!" "Great!" exclaimed Tailsy. "Now, let's back to do some more Turf War before the Spla-" "Wait," Turquoise said as she interrupted right before Tailsy get to finish her sentence. "What? What is it?" asked Tailsy. Turquoise whips out her Octophone. "It says here that there is a 5v5 Turf War battle that is now open." "WAIT WHAT?!" said both Tailsy and Luci whom were a bit shocked by this. "Yup. See for youself," Turquoise said as she showed it to them. Both Tailsy and Luci looked at it. "Huh. So, that means that we can have one more teammate to join. Awesome," Tailsy said happily. "But wait," Luci said. "Who will be our 5th teammate?" "I think I know who will be," Magenta replied. "Who?" Tailsy asked. "You'll see! Go wait at the lobby. I'll be there!" Magenta replied. "Alright," Tailsy said as she, Luci, and Turquoise start to walk towards the Deca Tower.
