Chapter 20 Splatocalypse Part 1: War against the Sanitization

Meanwhile, back at the Smash Manor. Both Orange and Blue are in their room, thinking of what to do.

"What are we gonna do?" said Orange. "The entire Inkopolis is sanitized and we have no clue on why this is happening?"

"Well, look at the bright side," said Blue. "We do have each other."

"True. Been fighting each other for years now. But what I mean is our home. We have to restore it back now!"

"I know. But how can we do that exactly? We don't have any type of weapon that can do such a thing."

"Okay. We don't have exactly a weapon that can do that. But maybe we can find what cause Inkopolis to do be like it is right now and reverse that."

"That could work. Of course, we may be the only survivors left. And who knows what their plans are right now."

"Now, let's not jump that quickly. We actually don't know their plans, or anything related. Even if we can't restore Inkopolis in time, we can at least try save our friends."

"I suppose we can try at least. Do you have any plans on how?"

"Not yet but I will in a minute."

However, it wasn't minutes. It was a couple of hours.

"So, have you decided on a plan yet?" Blue asks.

"Well, no. Have you?" Orange replied.

Blue shrugs.

"Me either," he said. "But hopefully we can figure it out very soon. Oh, hold on..."

"What?"

"What if...we were too late?"

"Oh, don't be so ridiculous, Blue. We are never late for anything!"

"What about one time-"

"Let's not think about the past right now. Right now, we still need a plan."

"Is it possible to contact Tailsy and see if she has a plan?"

Orange was about to reply back but she stops herself and think for a moment.

"You know...that could work. I mean we haven't seen Tailsy in a while now. Maybe she is still surviving and knows how to restore Inkopolis."

"Great! Go ahead and call her!"

Orange nods and gets her squidphone and begins to call Tailsy. However, Tailsy didn't answer. Orange does a couple of more attempts but doesn't succeeds. She let out a small sigh.

"No dice," she said. "Tailsy didn't answer back."

Blue starts to get worried.

"Do you think she is dead or something?"

"No, not really," she replied. "But I just hope she is okay."

"Me too."

Time went on as they are still at Smash Manor, in their room, each drinking their respective drinks.

"Why are we still here instead of going back to Inkopolis?" Blue asks.

"We are waiting for Tailsy. She either come here or give us a call," Orange replied.

"What makes you think that exactly? I mean it has been hours."

"Just give a little longer. I'm sure it will happen."

"Whatever you say."

Just a few minutes later, Orange receives a video call from Tailsy.

"Oh! A video call from Tailsy! I knew she wouldn't let us down!"
