Chapter 8: Trouble Strikes

"Magenta and Ashton! You take care of the South side! Luci and Turquoise! You guys take care of the East side! Aori! You're with me taking care of the North side!" said Tailsy. They all nod and start going where they were assigned to do.

On the South side, Magenta and Ashton started to fire their weapons as soon they were in the range of shooting at the sanitizes, making some good shots.

Some moments later.

"Phew...did we get them all?" asked Magenta.

"I hope so," said Ashton. "It is kinda tiring."

"Oooh...I hope all of this is just a dream...," Magenta sets her Dualies down and started to rub her eyes.

"Come on...please wake up...I know this is all a bad dream..."

"Uh...Magenta?"

She started to hit herself on the head.

"Come on! Wake up! Please! This is a bad dream! I need to WAKE UP!"

"Magenta!" Ashton stops her. "This is not a dream."

Magenta slowly looks at him.

"It's...not...?"

"It's not. This is real and-"

Ashton notices an sanitize coming towards them and started to fire.

"Look out!"

He charges his weapon and started firing as well, splatting the sanitize after a few seconds.

"Phew...thanks," Magenta said as she picks up her Dualies from the ground.

"You're welcome," said Ashton.

Meanwhile, on the East side, Luci and Turquoise were firing their weapon at the sanitizes. After a few moments, they splatter all of them.

"Nice work!" said Turquoise.

"Thanks," Luci replied back. "Same to you!"

"You know. We make a pretty good team."

"Really?"

"Yup! We do!"

"That's really ni-"

"Especially when there's ramen nearby!" She takes one out which was cooked but cold.

"Hmm? Are you gonna eat that? Even though it is cold?"

"Hey. I'm hungry for ramen!" Turquoise said as she starts to eat.

Meanwhile, on the North side, there were a lot of sanitizes.

"Oh, my cod!" said Tailsy. "There is a lot of them!"

"I'll say," said Aori. "Why are there so many?"

"Well, Inkopolis has been infected by sanitize."

Unfortunately, the umbrella was destroyed.

"Uh-oh...no protection."

"Don't worry. I got this!" Aori quickly uses her baller special to roll towards them and then explodes, splatting many sanitizes. After a few seconds, Tailsy's umbrella came back.

"Thanks!" said Tailsy.

"No worries!" Without noticing, there were a few more who were firing at Aori.

"Watch out!" Tailsy quickly goes in front of her and opens up her umbrella, firing at them shortly after. Eventually, they were all splatted.

"That's the last of them."
