Reylo University Part 8

Rey has been living in Naboo for 3 weeks now and has been doing her shifts at 'Jabba's place' and has been dancing in the city center every few days and has gathered a total of £3500.She is excited because that meant she was going to go to university and her new life was going to begin.

When Rey had not been working, she would explore Naboo. She especially liked the 'Ahch-To' nature reserve on the city's outskirts. The park was beautiful it was amazing to Rey as she had only ever seen desert before and the only flower, she had known was the night bloomer. The park was filled with super tall oak trees, rose bushes, luxurious green grass, daisies, dandelions, elderflower trees, cherry blossom trees, butter cups and hundreds more. Rey would spend hours in the park on her own. Her favourite part though was the lake. The water shimmered and sparked Rey watched as young children would throw in stones, she loved how the water rippled. She liked the ducks and was very grateful when Maz (the nice lady at the front desk at the hostel) gave her some bread to feed them. 

Rey was beginning to love Naboo and couldn't wait until she was going to university. She had got use to the bustling centre and started to feel less nervous of street dancing with every performance. Rey had seen lots of people pass her by that looked around her age some stopped to look like a Black man who wore a brown leather resistance jacket. Rey had spotted him several times. He would put money in her hat, and she had even spotted him with a Asian women with short black hair and another man who wore resistance clothes they were all Rey's age. Rey hoped that maybe they were going to the university and would become her friends as they looked very kind.

Rey also helped at the hostel when she was not working or exploring. She would help cook and would make friends with her fellow residents. She liked doing this as it made her feel less alone and it made them feel less alone which made her content. She trusted the hostel and felt safe their she just hoped the university would be the same.

It was breakfast time and Rey was helping serve breakfast when Maz came to Rey and gave her a special letter. Rey immediately excused herself and ran to her corner of the hostel to read the letter. She crossed her fingers and hoped that it was good news.

"Hello Rey,

Congratulations this is a letter of acceptance to Naboo's stormtrooper university. We will help you with anything you may need as we know of your current situation and pasted in Jakku. We were very happy to give you the scholarship for your two courses of Ballet and Art. We hope you will be very happy at stormtrooper university. Maz the hostel receptionist will take your £600 and give it to us for you Accommodation. You can come down to the university to look around and see your room as soon as we send you your room details and key.

Rey sat back on her bed with a huge smile on her face. She careful put the letter in one of her locked drawers and grabbed her purse to give Maz her accommodation fee. Rey ran over to Maz and told her the good news.

"I'm happy for you Rey well done."

"Thank you I wouldn't have done it without you."

Rey handed Maz her £600 for her accommodation then went to grab her bag and went out onto the streets of Naboo.

Time to go shopping.
