Reylo University Part 30

Rey had been living at her apartment for 3 days now and was loving it. She had spent lots of time with her new friends Poe, Rose and Finn. They went to the intergalactic bowling alley and Rey had lost her voice by the time she got home from shouting after strike after strike. Mrs. Erso use to take her to the bowling alley on the good side of Jakku but it was tiny but the one she went to with her friends was huge, gigantic even.

It was hard to settle in her apartment at first as she had always wanted her own place to escape from life after her foster mum died and now it was almost unreal the feeling that she had escaped that torture with Unkar. She still didn't know how a girl dumped in an ally way on the streets of Jakku in the middle of a sand storm would have got to where she was now. Rey owed her life to Mrs. Erso she also made Rey the happiest she had ever felt.

Rey loved her apartment it was something to be proud of it made her feel safe not like when she lived with that blasted Unkar! The entire 7 years living with Unkar she was subject to a tiny dimly lit room the only light elevating the walls was a gas lamp. She had a dirty old hammock that she would have to repair herself when it tore from age and a shelf where she kept her precious things. She was thankful for that and managed to scavenge a lock so Unkar wouldn't steal her things. Her life was horrible there. 

Unkar would shout at her and scare her, grab her hair and pull her across the sand if he was drunk and if she fought back, she would get beat up and left without food to just cry alone in her room. She was glad her life was better now. Her new friends were amazing. 

Rey was still working at 'Jabba's place' by some miracle she thought for sure she would have lost her job for fighting in Jabba's club but when she went into do her shift, he told her:

"Rey well done you did the right thing those guys are ass holes and anyways it drummed up business but are you alright?"

Jabba was very caring and a very nice guy. Rey showed him the ugly bloody red patch on her skin it was bleeding under the skin that won't go but she had a little too much experience with getting hurt so knew it would heal up eventually maybe after a week or so. She still had a bruise on her cheek too from that ass Hux what a bloody prick he is!

Rey didn't have work tonight and her friends were busy, so Rey decided to do something that she had always wanted to do since Mrs. Erso's cat died when Rey was 7. She wanted a pet. Mrs. Erso's cat was super sweet and was called Porg. Rey had wanted pets for years but knew she couldn't have them at Unkar's as he would surly take it away or worse hurt it.

Rey was ecstatic on her decision to get a pet she just needed Maz's help so she got her phone out and pulled up Maz and began to text her. 

Rey: Hi Maz I was wondering if you were busy at the hostel today because I need a favor.

Maz: Hi Rey I have just finished I took the early shift. What do you need my child?

Rey: Ever since my foster mum's cat died when I was very little, I have wanted a pet so I was wondering if you could take me to the pet store and then to the rescue center. I have wanted a pet forever!

Maz: Oh, Rey you are so sweet of course I will help you out dear. I will be at your apartment in 5 minutes be ready ok?

Rey: Yes, can't wait to see you!

Rey was super happy she was so so excited she was finally getting at pet. Her life was already so much better than she originally thought it would be in Naboo. She had been here 6 and a half weeks. She just had 4 days until her first day at university. This scared her as she knew the gang would probably be there. Oh well just let them try!
