Yesterday was chaos. Today is mayhem.

After the rehearsal dinner, Derek bid his goodbye to Patty as the two parted to spare any luck they had left. It was a bit emotional as Patty cried out all the alcohol she had consumed prior that night. Getting her to come home while her beau was off in a hotel with his family was beyond difficult that I still wonder how I managed to get her back safely.

At one point, she managed to open the car door in her drunken state and almost fell out onto the highway. When I say I almost had a heart attack. Thank goodness her seatbelt was on though, and that she was emotionally unstable to understand how to take it off, otherwise there probably would be no wedding today.

Tucking her into bed was also a task in itself. She was hot, she was cold, she wanted to sleep naked, she wanted a sweater. She bawled as she realized Derek wasn't beside her that night. I had to sing her to sleep. Like a baby. She would not fall asleep unless I sang a lullaby.

The entire time this was happening the boys were cracking up and laughing at my misfortune. Besides Harry of course. He wanted to kill someone; most likely me. I had asked Liam to carry Patty up the stairs because she clearly forgot how to work them, tripping and falling left and right. But, no, he was too busy laughing his ass off to even comprehend my asking.

After she began snoring, I quietly moved from my position under her arm on the bed and scurried out of the room before the monster awoke. Silence echoed throughout the house, making me sigh in relief as the hectic night had come to a close.

Or so I thought.

When entering my room, Harry was sat at the foot of my bed, making me jump nearly ten feet in the air. I didn't want to talk anymore at the dinner, but clearly he didn't get the message.

"Harry," I hissed, closing my door gently behind me.

"Sorry. I knew I wouldn't be able to sleep if we didn't finish talking," he sighed as he laid back against my bed.

"I told you, I can't talk about it. Not right now at least. Can't it wait until after the wedding when our friends are on their honeymoon, away from any lingering drama?" I asked, practically begged, as I hoped he would actually wait.

"No, it can't, Wendy. I deserve to know, and you know it."

I let out a deep breath as I sat beside him on the bed. I will talk to him eventually. If only he could believe me. I just need. . . a bit of preparation beforehand to actually handle my emotions.

"You do, yes. But in order to not break down and fall apart, I need some time to go over everything."

"The more time you get, the more chance of you lying to me. We know how much I hate liars, Wendy." He grew aggravated with every word he spoke, now sitting up in his spot.

I scoffed at his words. I wouldn't lie. I never have. Lying is pointless and I don't do it, and he knows that. And the more aggravated he got, the more frustrated I grew.

"Please get out. We'll talk when the time is right."

He stood up after a minute of silence, stomping over to the bedroom door. "I suggest you figure out your shit, Kane. Before you know it, I'm not going to want to talk anymore because I'll be too tired of your shit. Then, you'll regret never telling me."

With that, he slammed my door shut after him, making me widen my eyes and pray to God Patty didn't wake up. After listening for a few moments for any sign of life in the room across the hall, and then hearing nothing, I let out a breath.
