Senkina's mind would not register that sentence. How could her brain willingly process that? She knew she needed to save them.
But how do I save them without giving myself away? Senkina thought. She turned to Johnson.
"Why am I not with them?" Senkina asked, how could she be free when they are trapped.
Johnson looked at her. Concern and sadness filled his eyes. "They think you are the copy." Johnson responded sadly.
Senkina looked around the room to make sure no one was near enough to listen.
"Where are they being tortured?" Senkina whispered.
"I don't know." Johnson responded, sadness fill his voice, "If I had to guess near the bottom of the castle."
Senkina nodded and left. She walked until she found a staircase. The stair case was dark and steep. She knew this was the staircase she needed to go down. Cautiously, she descended the stairs.
When she reached the bottom, he heard yelling. She followed it to a room at the end of a dark corridor. Two black doors greeted her. One had a green glow through the window and the other had a pink glow. Senkina immediately walked into the one with a pink glow.
Her eyes made contact with a horrific scene. Leon Oskaur was strapped to a table. His head had bruises all over it. His arms were full of cuts and blue bruises. His legs were the worse. She was sure that one of his legs was broken from the awkward angle it was strapped in. He didn't even try to look up when he heard the door open. He instead tensed up and cried. His hair was blood red.
"Leon Oskaur." That was all Senkina could say. She was in too much shock at the scene to process it. He looked up at her relief rippled through his body, but then concern took over.
"What are you doing here?" Leon Oskaur whisper yelled.
"I didn't want you to be tortured. I was hoping to help save you." Senkina responding realizing that she didn't know what she was doing. She thought that saving people would be as easy as it was in the movies. It definitely wasn't.
She went up to the straps ready to undo them. He protested, "Senkina no. It's not safe for you. Go back to where you're safe. I'll be fine. Go back to safety."
Senkina looked up to see his eyes pleading for her to leave. She didn't want to. She want to protect everyone, especially Leon Oskaur. He made her feel safe and loved. Something that she didn't feel on earth.
She stood up and as if her legs had a mind of their own, she walk toward the door. She turned to Leon Oskaur before she left. She could feel her eyes starting to well up with tears. Her vision became blurry to the point that when she looked at Leon Oskaur all she saw was a blur of a body with pink hair.
She went up the hallway to the staircase. She immediately went to infirmary. Johnson was wide awake. He could see that her eyes were filled with tears. He pulled her into a hug, trying to comfort her. She cried so much that Johnson's shirt was soaked before Senkina stopped.
"I didn't — want — to  leave him. B-but I — had — to." Senkina repeated, sniffing between words.
All Johnson could say was "He'll be ok. He is a strong person."
When a nurse came by she handed Johnson a vile. Johnson looked curiously up at her. The nurse just nodded to the vile.
Johnson read the label on vile and almost knocked Senkina over with how fast he stood up. Senkina looked at him, confused why he was so happy.
He just handed her the vile.
If you want to help us then we have a perfect opportunity. Switch with Leon Oskaur for now and when to potion wears off, then we will bring you to the sanctuary. Senkina read.
"Will you do it?" Senkina asked, she was afraid of leaving Johnson for torture. She was starting to feel a similar attachment that she did to Leon Oskaur.
"Yes." He responded, "I want to show that I'm my own person. I'm not my brother's copy. I'm not Our Leader's toy. I want to protect my brother and I want to protect all of the earth people, including you."
"But are you sure? The torture is brutal. I don't want you to suffer to save Leon Oskaur. I want you both to be safe." Senkina protested.
"I'll be fine." He promised and then asked, "Can you show where Leon Oskaur is?"
Senkina reluctantly stood up and walked down the walkway. She walk down until she saw the hidden staircase. They silently walked down it. The tears began to gather in Senkina's eyes.
She gestured to the end of the hallway to the room with the pink light coming from it. They both walked in. Leon Oskaur tensed again but not as bad as when Senkina had come.
"We are braking you out little brother." Johnson proudly proclaimed.
Leon Oskaur looked up at shock. He looked at Senkina then Johnson.
"What are you guys doing here? Go back to safety." Leon Oskaur yelled.
"Well that's the thing. We have a plan to get you to safety. So drink up." Johnson responded, putting the vial to Leon Oskaur's lips. Leon Oskaur hungrily drank the vial until Johnson stopped him when it was half full. Johnson then put the vile to his lips and chugged it.
Nothing happened at first. So they released Leon Oskaur from the restraints. Johnson started to walk up to the board to be restrained. He then dropped to the floor when his ankle bent in an awkward angle. Leon Oskaur looked down at his own ankle. It was healed. Leon Oskaur and Senkina held him up so that they could restraint him. Senkina was crying the whole time. Johnson just gave her reassuring glances. It was all he could do because he would wince when a new bruise or cut showed up on his body. Leon Oskaur started to look better but his hair remained at a turquoise.
When they were done they looked at Johnson as his hair changed to a bright pink. He looked at them with a wide smile on his face. "Protect her Leon Oskaur." That was all he could choke out.
Leon Oskaur nodded at him and took Senkina's hand and lead her out. His hair changed to a black. Senkina turned to the black door one last time before she was forced up the stair case. The pink glow changed for one second to black.
