Senkina turned to Leon Oskaur. He looked to her and motioned for her to stay still. He stood up, his hair turning a bright orange. He turned to Jickallyn, to see her ready to fight. They stood backs against the walls that were next to the entrance of the cave. Light footsteps echoed down the steps. They were trying to remain silent but the stairs gave them away. The footsteps slowed as they reached the end of the steps. A short woman with glistening maroon hair, pulled into a tight braided bun, showed at the entrance. Leon Oskaur and Jickallyn relaxed.
"Next time you come in disguised can you please not trip the alarm." Leon Oskaur angrily commented.
"Well I'm sorry. The disguise was the only way I was making it all this way without being kidnapped." The woman responded in a shrill child's voice.
Senkina was very confused. Who was this woman? How did Leon Oskaur know her?
Leon Oskaur as if hearing her thoughts turned to Senkina and gestured for her to walk over to them. Senkina stood up and walked to them. The woman's face melted to a young girl's. The girl looked gleefully at Senkina. Her hair was now in a loose braid that hung unto her head.
"You must be a new earth person. I am Harta." The girl proudly exclaimed with a weak British accent.
"Ya, I am. My name is Senkina." Senkina politely introduced herself.
"I know it is very weird, but I know you will love it here." Harta exclaimed.
"Why were you disguised?" Senkina asked, curious about her.
Harta looked at her in a moment of disbelief, but then recovered, "We disguise ourselves, so we don't get captured by Our Leader like that group did a couple cycles back." Harta explained.
"Well that makes sense." Senkina responded, almost to herself.
"Are there anymore coming?" Leon Oskaur eagerly asked, his hair dazzling in a bright pink with violet undertones.
"Of course there are more coming. They will be coming in bursts. If I heard correctly they are being all of them here." Harta happily reported.
Leon Oskaur's hair changed to a sandy brown. Senkina could tell that that color meant confusion.
"Why are all of them coming here?" He questioned.
Harta shrugged her shoulders. Leon Oskaur didn't press it any further.
Harta walk over to the beds and choose a bed that was as red as a rose. She laid in it, tiredness was etched on her young face. It was no surprise to Senkina that she soon fell asleep.
"I think I'm going to wash up. Do you know where more of these outfits are?" Senkina asked, pulling up on the dress she was wearing.
Jickallyn jumped into the conversation. "The extra dresses are in the back too. Go enjoy yourself."
Senkina awkwardly then walked to the back of the cave to find a doorway.
The doorway was about Leon Oskaur's height and about as wide a three Senkinas. She stepped through the doorway to see what looked like a swimming pool with mountains of bubbles.
Senkina took her hair out of the large braid it had been in and prepared herself to wash up. Senkina, then, swam into the pool and washed herself. Taking care to wash her hair especially. When she finished, she stepped out of the pool and went to where there were shelves. She picked up the first dress she saw, a lime green one, and put it on. She then saw a smaller pool. She walk over to it and thought to clean the dress she had used. She bent down to start scrubbing the dress.
When the dress touched the water it disappeared from Senkina's hands. Senkina turned around to see if it just teleported. She saw that the dress was on the shelf. This relieved Senkina and she walked back to the cave.
As she walked over to Jickallyn and Leon Oskaur, she saw Jickallyn spot her and go as white as her hair. Jickallyn rush over and told Senkina to sit.
"Why? What's wrong?" Senkina panicked.
"You didn't braid your hair." Jickallyn replied, almost as panicked.
Senkina looked up at Jickallyn. Confused must have been very prevalent on her face because Jickallyn further explained, "On this planet, a woman is supposed to have her braided at all times. This is so the secrets they keep doing fall out of their brains."
Jickallyn found a hair tie and a makeshift hairbrush and started to put Senkina's hair in a simple braid.
"But you're hair wasn't braided when we found you." Senkina countered.
"They unbraided my hair while I was 'unconscious'. I guess they thought I knew a lot." Jickallyn explained, "Speaking of, can you braid?"
"Yes I can braid." Senkina replied, feeling a little sheepish for trying to call her out.
"Good because I just finished your hair. Now you can do mine." Jickallyn sing-songed to a mysterious beat.
Senkina went to the mirror to she her hair. The braid looked like a basketball girl's braid. It looked like a ponytail that had the excess hair braided. Senkina turned to Jickallyn. She sat patiently holding out a brush and a hair tie, that looked like a piece of seaweed. Senkina began to brush Jickallyn's hair. Her white hair was soft and thin.
Senkina sectioned the hair off and begin the braid. She put the right section in the middle and did the same with the left section, repeating the process until all of her hair was braided.
Jickallyn look at her hair when Senkina was done. Jickallyn looked like she loved it. She turned around and hugged Senkina. Senkina was a bit taken back but reciprocated the hug. They turned back to Leon Oskaur who just awkwardly stood there. Pain was hidden in his eyes, but his hair was a bright pink, so Senkina didn't want to push the matter.
Jickallyn stood right next to Leon Oskaur as they all talked about their old lives. He seemed to lean close to Jickallyn too.
They talked until they were hungry. Jickallyn stood up and walked up the stairs. Her foot steps echoed until they stopped towards the top. Leon Oskaur looked at Senkina.
"So is there something between you two?" Senkina asked innocently.
Leon Oskaur blushed to a light pink. His hair turning a muddy brown. "I wish we were but I don't think we are." Leon Oskaur responded.
"Why wouldn't you be? I can tell you are both into each other." Senkina countered.
"Well with this whole war..." Leon Oskaur started.
"Because of this war. I always found that to be a lame excuse to not be together." Senkina blurted out, "I think if you want to be official just tell her. The war shouldn't affect your love life."
Leon Oskaur blushed a light crimson now. He was obviously surprised. Jickallyn came back with some of the green meat. They ate hungrily.
Leon Oskaur turned to Jickallyn nervously. She saw this.
"What's wrong?" Jickallyn asked, her voice full of concern.
Leon Oskaur then looked like he plucked up all his courage and stated, "Jickallyn we have known each other for years and I was wondering if you wanted to be my girlfriend."
Jickallyn's face was filled of shock and surprise. She immediately jumped on Leon Oskaur wrapping her arms around him. He was surprised but he hugged back.
In this very happy moment, everything fell apart.
