Senkina was dragged through the portal. This time Leon Oskaur's kind face didn't greet her. Instead, soldiers in blue armor crowded around her.
They began to speak in their language at her. "Scum, where did you come from?"
Senkina responded trying to pretend she could speak, "I came from Our Leader's castle. They were testing new portals and I was the test dummy."
Senkina could hear the English words escape her mouth but her mouth wasn't moving to the English language.
The soldier looked kinda sheepish and responded,"My Bad."
Another soldier a girl with flaming red hair, that was braided to flower crown, came up with Johnson. Johnson was had his hands tied behind his back. He looked up and saw Senkina. He pretended that he didn't know her.
"Since you're going back to the castle take this Telesa back." The soldier replied, then threw a beaten Johnson on her.
Senkina gently grabbed Johnson's shoulder and escorted him to the hidden portal. They stepped through the portal, but Senkina looked back before she always all the way through. The village was torched and everything was in chaos.
Senkina pulled herself through the portal and then examined his inquiries. He had a broken nose and a black eye. She looked at the unconscious Lyllan laying on the ground. She untied Johnson and then grabbed Lyllan, carrying her fireman style. She began to walk them to the makeshift infirmary. When they were walking there, Johnson asked, "How do you know how to speak the language?"
Senkina shrugged. "I guess if I can translate it I can speak it." Senkina guessed.
"Makes sense." Johnson commented then asked, "On a different note, how is Leon Oskaur doing?"
Senkina looked up at him, sadness meet relief in their eyes. "He almost died." Senkina answered bluntly.
"What happened?" Johnson blurted out, sadness etched on his face.
"When the potion started to wear off all his injuries came back. And some of them were really bad." Senkina explained, "He almost died because his brain was bleeding."
Johnson had a look of terror on his face. He looked like if they didn't get him to the infirmary soon he was going to faint. Senkina kept lightly slapping his cheek to keep him conscious.
He eventually began to not look like death just knocked on her door. The red coming back to his cheeks. He turned to Senkina.
"If that's what they do to some they aren't supposed to kill yet. What would they do to you?" Johnson wondered aloud.
The dark thought was something Senkina never really thought of. She honestly didn't care what happened to her. If everyone she cared about was safe than that's all that mattered.
They finally made to the infirmary. The boy looked at Johnson and fixed it without much trouble. He then looked at Lyllan. His face twisted from calm to scared.
He looked at Senkina and looked her over. The scared look turned to confusion. Senkina stepped forward.
"What's wrong?" Senkina asked, trying to remain calm.
"I sense an infectious parasite. It's not a living thing but a spell. It was supposed to make you go crazy and try to harm everyone else." The boy explained, his face showed that he was extremely perplexed.
"Well, nothing happened to me and I went with Lyllan." Senkina explained.
The boy looked up at Senkina. "I had figured as much. But you are not infected. That's the problem. How could you both go to the same place with a highly infectious spell and only one of you are affected?" He asked to himself.
"Maybe it's because she native." Senkina offered.
The boy shook his head. "It can be that. This spell was definitely made to infect the earth people." The boy argued.
"Can you cure it?" Senkina asked, the answer popped into her head after she asked.
"No." He answered bluntly, "If I try I'll be infected. The best solution is to put her back wherever you found to infection and leave her there until it either goes way or it destroys her."
"She sacrificed everything to protect us." Senkina argued, "The least you could do is try to remove this spell."
The boy looked at her in disbelief. "Why do you keep challenging everything I say? I am the healer. You are the translator." He talked back with authority, "Age wise I also beat you out. So stop questioning me because I know more."
Senkina throughout her life by that point had been told to shut up more times then this guy as probably ever healed. Senkina wasn't going to be silently resigned to anything anymore.
"If you haven't noticed, every time I've told you to try something else it works out." Senkina screamed back, "I continue to stick my neck out to save you and everyone else. And so far everything I've done as worked out. Another thing age doesn't constitute wisdom. And I think that if you want respect you need to earn it. You will only earn my respect if you help Lyllan now."
The boy looked dumbfounded. He looked down at Lyllan and began to heal her. Holding his hand just above Lyllan's forehead. A blue glow came from her head. Senkina with all her brain power hoped that the head healer could heal her without getting infected.
The blue glow was able to be put into a ball. Senkina grabbed an empty jar on the shelf and opened it. The head healer threw it into the jar. His face was covered in sweat and he looked like he just ran a marathon.
He looked at Senkina. Triumph filled his face. She grabbed the jar from Senkina hands and labeled it.
"Is she going to be in a coma for a while too?" Senkina asked.
"No she'll wake up in the morning, forgetting everything." The boy explain led, not even looking at Senkina, "You both can stay in here for the night. That way, you will be able to keep an eye on your loved ones. Come to my tent if there are any problems."
Just like that he left. Senkina looked at each other and shrugged. They each took a bed. Senkina in the bed to the left of Lyllan. Johnson in the bed to the right of Leon Oskaur and the left of Senkina.
They silently looked each other for most of the night. Both were worried about the unconscious people next to them. Eventually Senkina started to drift off, the last thing she heard was, "Good Night, Nini."
