Grade Five
"Ha I got one mark better than you!" Cal says."If I didn't make any silly mistakes I would have beaten you!" April defends herself suddenly feeling insecure about her score.
April had gotten a ninety four percent on her science quiz and Cal had gotten ninety five percent. She didn't like to lose.
"Whatever you say." Cal says and saunters off to his friends proudly.
"I hate you." April raises her voice so that he can hear him.
Cal turns around and begins walking backwards with a smile.
"I hate you too." He says with a wide smile before turning around.
April noticed that the air between them had changed as it didn't seem like as tense or filled with hatred as before.
And she couldn't help but smile too.
"Yeah I definitely hate you."
