Today was the big day.
April and Cal had definitely gotten closer and April felt that it was the right time to confess.
She needed to. All those years of knowing each other there had to be something between them. Right?
April was meeting Cal in the gazebo near the park.
As she was walking down the sidewalk Cal joined beside her.
"So what is it that you thought was so important that you had to tell me?" Cal says as their steps were in complete sync.
April stops walking and faces Cal and stares at him in the eyes. She takes a deep breaths and says it.
Tries too.
She opens her mouth again, but the words don't form.
Cal looks at her expectantly.
Then she says it.
"I hate you."
Cal stares at her strangely before his gaze goes soft.
"I know you do. Because I also hate you too."
