Grade Six
"Come here Jasper!" April urges her dog to come to her.

Cal stares from a distance away feeling a sense of loneliness as he waits outside for his parents to pick him up. He wished he had a dog to entertain him.

While he was sitting in the middle of the field, he hadn't realized that April's dog, Jasper was charging towards him.

When Jasper had pounced on Cal he yelled in surprise and was left in a fit of giggles as Jasper kept licking him all over his face.

"Good boy, Jasper. This is how you should attack people." He heard April say as Jasper got off of him and returned to April's side.

"You told him to attack me?" Cal asks.
"You could have killed me!"

"From what I know he was licking you. I hardly call that a life or death situation. Besides have you ever seen anyone being killed laugh like he had a good time?" April hypothesizes.

Cal glares at her.

"I hate you by the way. In case you forgot."

April laughs and says "How can I possibly forget."

"Cal!" Cal turns around to see his mother in her car gesturing towards him to get in.

"I got to go." He says and wipes the grass off of him.

"Yeah I should to. My mom here too. Come on Jasper let's race!" And they ran off to the opposite direction as him.

As he walks to his mom's car he sees the April enters the blue car that had been there the whole time since the school bell had rung.

"Funny." Cal says.

"Who was that kid?" My mom ask.

"Someone." Cal smiles mischievously.
