ALLIE

"Guess who I saw chatting with my Dad?" Jill was so excited to tell us that she forgot Friedrick is beside her.

"Sino?" ang eagerly na tanong din ni Mina. Sa aming lima na friends, si Mina lang ang very supposrtive sa aming lahat. Kahit chismis pa yan makikin ig siya sa iyo. She's  sexy, hot nga daw sabi ng mga boys from the other school. Yun nga lang, minsan may pagka gullible siya.

"Si Daniel Antonio lang naman."

"Who the hell is Daniel Antonio?"

All five pairs of eyes including Friedrick looked at me in disbelief.

"Really, Allie...you do not know who Dan Antonio is?"

"Nope."

"Haynaku. Siya lang naman ang pinakabatang multi millionaire ngayon. Yung family nila ang isa sa mga may ari na ng Pilipinas."

"Sorry di ko siya kilala eh."

"Haynaku, saang lungga nanggaling ito?"

"Tell me bakit ko siya kailangang kilalanin?"

"Mabait siya. Guapo, mayaman at sooobrang cute." sabi naman ni Kendra. Kendra is the oldest in our group. She's 18 pero she loves going out with us. She's Chinese and she is engaged to be married to a fellow Chinese man na hindi pa niya nakikilala at ayaw niyang pakasalan. Sabi niya mag iisip daw siya ng paraan para makalayas sa bahay nila.

"Di ko kilala."

"Andun...teka san nagpunta yun?"

"Di ko din napansin. Haynaku di mo na naman nakita Allie. Masyado ka kasing isnabera eh."

"Yeah girl, sometimes you border on the bitch side lang naman."

And everyone just laughed. I looked around the party and saw a lot of my parents' friends. We all move in the same circle. Puro kakilala lang din naman ng family ko ang nandito. May mga ibang hindi ko kilala pero I'm sure kilala na sila nina Dad and Mommy, oh pati ang Lolo ko. I looked at my friends, kanya kanyang kwentuhan na sa isa't isa. They actually included me pero I am so bored gusto ko na sanang umuwi kaso I came here with Miah. So hintayin ko na lang na umuwi kami. Kasama niya ang driver nilang si Mang Romy at ang yaya niyang si Yaya Kori. Siyempre nasa labas lang sila at ayaw nilang pumasok kahit pinapapasok na sila ni Miah. Miah is one of my nicest pfriends. Mayaman din sila pero hindi matapobre ang family nila. KUng hindi si Dad ang tatay ko siguro may pagka bitch din ako.

I tapped Kendra's shoulders and told her na kuha lang ako ng water.  She nodded and went on talking animatedly to the guy who started talking to her. I was about to the washroom when I saw Harold looking around the area. So umiwas ako at umupo sa table na pinakamalapit sa akin. I did not notice kung sino ang mga nakaupo dun basta umupo lang ako sa empty seat. I was looking at Harold at inaabangan ko baka makita niya ako at least ayokong mag assuma na naman siya na parang boyfriend ko.

"Ehem. Excuse me? Kunin ko lang yung phone ko?"

I was surprised when someone tapped me on my arm. I looked at the most handsome face in the crowd. He looks kind and apologetic. He was pointing at the phone under my hand. Tinignan ko siya and he smiled. He looks young. Ano ginagawa niya dito? I looked around the table and saw older businessmen looking at me too. I smiled at them and they smiled at me too. I was about to apologize and leave when I heard Harold talking to me.

"Hi Allie. Nice seeing you here. Hello Tito Jake, Tito Hector...." at kung sinu-sino pang Tito ang sinasabi niya. Then he talked to the guy beside me. "Tito Dan, you're here?"

"Come on Harold stop calling Dan Tito, bata pa yan no."

"Okay lang, yan naman ang gusto ni Harold eh. So Harold how are you?"

"I"m fine Tito Dan. I'm with Allie here. SHe's my..."

"Hi Harold. You're here din pala," I interrupted him bago niya sabihin ang kung anu-ano.

"Siyempre Baby, my dad is the friend of Jill."

"Oh, Okay."

"Teka, you came here alone? Who drove you here?"

Think fast Allie. Think fast bago niya sabihin ihahatid ka na niya.

"Oh, I came here with Miah kasi my boyfriend was a little late. May dinaanan pa din kami ni Miah."

I am sure the people at the table were amused at the exchange of two idiotic high school strudents. They were smiling at each other listening to us talk.

"Boyfriend? May boyfriend ka?"

"Oh yes. Hindi mo alam?"

Gaga ka talaga Allie. Sino naman ang sasabihin mongm boyfriend aber?

"Hmmm hindi eh. Sino?"

Ano na ulit pangalan niya?

"Harold meet my boyfriend, Dan."

And I wrapped my arms around this Dan's right arm and whether he was shocked or not, it did not register on his face.
