"Percccccy!!!" Grover yells. He starts to run. I create a circle of fire around me and him. He stops before he can become barbecue.
"No!" I yell. "He can't know. Not yet. I'm not sure exactly why, but you can't tell Percy." I order.
"Fine. But this won't be easy. We can talk to Chiron later because I bet I
IPercy got claimed as well." Grover says nervously. I douse the flames and we walk back to camp.
Everyone is walking to the cabins, talking avidly to each other.
"Amanda!!" I turn to see Annabeth running towards me. I smile.
"Percy's been claimed!"
"So? A camper gets claimed all the time."
"Poseidon's his father."
"And mine." I whisper.
"Huh?" Annabeth asks. I pull her away from the crowd.
"What's wrong?" She asks.
I look at Grover. He nods. "I've been claimed." I weakly smile.
"By who? We have to tell Chiron." She exclaimed.
"No. We can't tell anyone! It's supposed to be a secret." I explain.
"Oh what secret?" Luke asked.
"That Amanda's Percy's twin and their both from Poseidon." Grover blurts. I kick his furry shin. He groans in pain. I look back at my friends who then grabbed one of my arms and dragged me to the Big House.
"Ah. Amanda. I was wondering when you would come." Chiron smiles when we arrive.
"How did-" I start.
"Simple. You and Percy look so much alike, I assumed you would be siblings and get claimed when he did." Chiron explained.
"And u never told me because...??" I ask.
"The block would cause your head to split open and I wasn't sure." He explained.
"What do I do?" I ask.
"You can tell your brother for starters..." Luke starts.
"No. I can't."
"Why not?" Chiron asks suddenly amused.
"I don't know. It's like this little voice inside my head keeps telling me not to." I admit.
"Oh, I haven't seen this in years. Your father is giving you advice."
"He is?"
"Yes Amanda. Now, I want you all to go to bed. Amanda, you can stay in the Hermes cabin." Chiron orders. We all nod and take off in different directions.
As me and Luke walk to our peeling cabin, I waste no time to get to bed. I plop onto the floor by Luke's bed.
"Amanda, your day has been worse than mine. I'll sleep on the floor tonight." He pulls me off the floor and takes that place. I fall onto Luke's bed and went straight to sleep.
I wish I could say that my night was dreamless, but sadly it was not. I had never had a demigod dream before but I heard they were scary and realistic. Now I know these rumors to be true.
My dream setting was simple. I was in a giant cave with a huge circular pit in the middle. Wondering where I was, I looked around. Then I heard his voice.
"Ah. Amanda. The block is gone and your peaceful dreams left with it." The voice was chilling. It made me want to run and hide. No hiding spots for me in this dream though.
