(This has some topics that if you find uncomfortable, I'm sorry.)

Steel. That's the first thing I see when I wake up. Groaning, I sit up slowly. All the memories come flooding back and my breathing becomes labored. I start to look around.

The room was completely steel. There was a steel door with a tiny window near the top. The bed I was on was practically hay with a cover on top and a blanket. There is a rocking feeling like I'm on a boat. I know the exact coordinates of where we are immediately. Perks of being a child of the sea.

"Great! Your up!" The familiar but now sinister voice said before I could think of a way out of here. The blonde devil comes into the room acting like he's the King of England.

"YOU!!" I scream and I try to light a fireball to launch at that little... Why can't I light myself on fire?! It's not working!

"Aw. Is the little Jackson unable to light herself a little fireball to throw at me. Look at your wrists, sweetheart." Luke smirked.

I reluctantly look down at my wrists. There were bracelets on each arm. They both had flashing lights on them and I'm surprised my ADHD hadn't noticed them before.

"What is this?" I ask.

"An experiment." Luke explained. "They are supposed to block out your gifts and it seems like they work." I'm on my feet and leaping to punch his scared face when his hand easily grabs my clenched one. I look at him with confusion. No one has ever been able to do that before. He squeezes my knuckles until they hurt.

"You seriously think you were the best fighter in Camp Half-Blood because you trained hard? I have two words for you: Ares' gift." He spits. He shoves my hand towards my being and he chuckles while he leaves the room.

"Oh! And Amanda? Don't try to jump of this ship. It won't work." Luke warned. He left with the door wide open. He's letting me explore the ship? This has to be some sort of trick.

Reluctantly, I walk around the boat. It's huge! The cruise ship has some mortals under some sort of spell. Monsters were everywhere but they didn't attack. They actually looked at me as if I was there master. As much as I want a pet hellhound (which is not at all), I'll pass on the offer.

I make my way to the tip of the boat. The bow, I think. The breeze racks through my body. I almost want to do a Titanic moment, but I realize I would look stupid so I make my way back to the back of the ship.

As I make my way to the railings on the side of the boat, I slowly lift my hands to see if anything will propel me backwards. All I feel is a force field that lights up at my touch.

"Woah..." I gasp.

~~1 month later~~

"Why, again, are we doing this?" I ask Luke to annoy him.

"Because, your brother will more than likely do anything to find you. His obvious fatal flaw." Luke explains.

"But he's not-"

"Doesn't matter. There, the mist is complete. Make the call and don't do anything stupid." Luke warns. I throw the drachma at the mist.

"O' goddess of the rainbow, accept my offering. Show me Annabeth Chase at Camp Half-Blood." The mist rippled and showed Annabeth at the dining pavilion, eating with her siblings.

"Annabeth!" I shout. She turns to look at me and her eyes pop out of our sockets.

"Amanda! Where are you?"

"That's why I'm calling."

"What?"

I take a deep breath and look at Luke, who is hidden from Annabeth. He nods as if to say, 'say it.'
