After Doha sent the letter she met the General in front of the Inn, she made it known to him that she knows where her Majesty and In su are and insisted on showing him the way as the only person who can convimce her Majesty to return.
While In su was ambushing the enemy soldiers her Majesty stood aside with a single guard and a torch just like she promised him, the General and Doha made it there at this was outplaying. Doha told her she has sent a letter to the palace  and Chin mae and his Majesty  will be there in a few hours just as this conversation was going on they heard the General's voice calling them to "retreat! the enemies have reinforcements"

It came to a point where they had to separate into two groups.

The General, Gu yong ha and Her Majesty, Doha, In su and four other soldiers.
They were outnumbered and the head of their group threatened them to return the pact on Doha's life since he assumed she was the wife of one of them.Yoo hwa admitted Doha was her wife but she ddnt know where it was and it really wasn't  with them. In the midst  of their argument Doha was stroke right across her back, the wound was long and deep that she was hardly going to make it. It was then Yoo hwa had to deceive them by admitting she hid the pact so that he doesn't end Doha completely. She made a deal with him to let In su who was carrying Doha go and she will lead them to it.
It was hard to convince In su to leave her behind.
She told him with tears running down their cheeks "a part of my life really belongs to Doha if something happens to her i can not live on, you ought to know i can't"

Before Doha left she apologized for leaving her and the commander behind and she also admitted she doesn't want to die now because she is afraid of being lonely without them. And she told Yoo hwa she wasn't going to make it but Yoo bwa was in denial she said they will meet 'later', they have to.

The General and Gu yong ha later on tried to save Yoo hwa from them and they ended up jumping down the cliff which beneath it was water, with an arrow buried  deep inside the General's lower foreleg close to his ankle.
After she and Gu yong ha came out of the water, he found out she was a girl because she ddnt have her hat on and her uniform was firmly sticking to her baby bump and by then the sun was about to rise.
They found the General by the shore after a great search unconcious, they debated with their eyes on who to resuscitate him. (CPR)

Since Gu yong ha naturally concluded she was his highness's Moon jae shik's woman, he said while pressing down his chest but it wasn't  working.
"Hurry, the enemy soldiers will make it down here in no time"

"Hyungnim"

"Wait aren't you...."
"There's no time to ask too many questions or he is not going to make it, he is bleeding too much too"

Upon hearing the word 'bleeding' Yoo hwa swiftly did as she was told and the General woke up almost  bumping his head to her's, coughing.
He winced from the pain on his leg but held it in saying.

"Are you okay? You look pale"
"It is cold, Gu yong ha hurry and cover her"
Gu yong ha also acted as if he never had to suggest.

They spent half of the day hiding and looking for ways to get the arrow out but it proved impossible, the General was in a critical condition that he was going in and out of conciousness and His Majesty  and Chin mae were yet to find them.

"They are approaching" Gu yong ha informed her Majesty about the enemy soldiers on their trail.

"We can't move him any longer"
"You should tie this herb on his wound so that it won't get infected"

"What do you mean?"

"The person they are looking for is me, i can't put you  both in danger pointlessly"
"I will distract them, after some time go up the hill his Majesty  and Prince  Chin mae will be there searching"
