The General spoke to her after a few days about what she had decided to do, he told her he knows she is embrassed but she should return to his Majesty for the sake of their children even if she had to beg for forgiveness, Yoo hwa was yet to decide because one thing remained unanswered..was she ready to return to the palace?
Back in the Palace his Majesty and the Commander had a conversation about Yoo hwa , the Commander said he didn't understand why they are doing this to each other when they are both alive and well..but his Majesty argued that he can not go to her because she left him first, the only thing he could do was wait.
The day Yoo hwa decided to visit his Majesty she asked In su to bring Lady Yu na to the General's home, the General didn't know she was coming so he was surprised to sight her from afar, upon seeing him she ran and stumbled falling to the ground and the General who was now able to walk without his stick jogged down to meet her.
"My lady"
He took her arms to help her up but her attention was only to him she was staring at him with a long unbreakable stare, tears streaming down her cheeks.
She stood straight adjusting to her feet.
"Is it you?"
"Is it really you your Highness?"
The General nodded taking in her features too.
"My lady"
The General was about to just wipe her tears but Yu na averted it to crush him in an embrace, the General stood frozen by surprise but relaxed as she sobbed on his robe.
"Your highness"she kept repeating in between sniffles.
"In su we should go"
Yoo hwa said and they left.
Yoo hwa entered the Palace in a maids uniform with the Palace pass, she looked for In ho asking to see the Commander.
He took her to where he was which was where his Majesty was seated, on a slab staring at the stars and it's moon.
As soon as the Commander recognised her he dismissed everyone and Yoo hwa came around to silently sit beside his Majesty.
He shifted his gaze and to his surprise there she was, right beside him, his heart swelled up with happiness but he restrained himself, rather he left her to stare ahead.
"Your Majesty"she said softly.
But he still wouldn't look at her.
"Your Majesty" she repeated.
She stood up to stand in front of him, as soon as she started bending her knee he said..
"What are you doing?"
"Your Majesty, I would want to firstly ask for forgiveness for shamelessly coming here and I would want to ask for forgiveness for only having my two knees to beg for forgiveness on"
As soon as she was about to go down, he held up her arms to stop her.
"Don't" he said.
He pulled her gently to the side for her to sit beside him.
For the first few seconds they just held each other's gaze before she spoke in a voice almost compelling.
"Your Majesty"
"I have a lot to ask for forgiveness for from your Majesty but for failing to keep my promise and leaving for Rouran, the pain I caused you for staying there for months, for making your Majesty worry so much about me after my return, for shamelessly taking your children away and for failing to keep my duty to this nation and your Majesty, I won't ask for forgiveness rather I would ask your Majesty to punish me"
"I will take whatever it is, please your Majesty shouldn't forgive me"
With a Curt bow slowly.
"And your Majesty..."
She hesitated at first but said anyway.
"I apologise..but if possibly I gave your Majesty the wrong impression you should know that in my heart there is only your Majesty..I don't.."
His Majesty didn't want to talk about it so he cut her off changing the direction of the topic.
"Indeed, the times you have mentioned are the most disturbed part of my life"
"I have thought about it too and I have decided not to forgive you if you were to return, I was planning on punishing you everyday till you ask for mercy"
"I told myself, if you were to return to me I will make it my everyday schedule to make sure you never escape from me, I will make sure from now on that I am always by your side to protect, support and care for you with love that befits your crown my Queen"
"Can you handle it?"
"Your Majesty"
Her eye brows knitted speech less to what to say.
He took both her hands and her into his arms as she slowly rested her head on his shoulder.
"I love you Yoo hwa, so much"
She blinked looking up to him surprised as the first time she has heard such utterance.
Her heart rythym became unsteady from how good it sounded, from the thrill and just how much she has missed moments like this she replied squeezing him and his wingy royal robe gently.
"I love you so much too Goguryeo Wang"
