The Commander's POV.
The biggest mistake i made was in thinking i could sneak quietly into the inner palace, all my attempts of slipping away from those persistent Eunuchs didn't work because they stock to me like a gum or rather, worst.
It was only my last attempt to enter the bathroom that worked.
The rain had already ceased when i reached where they should be, i found her highness seated comfortably in the mud and they seemed to be engulfed in their own selves to worry about other things.
I could trace her hat,his belt and a part of her shoes that were peaking out, left behind.
'I should come and pick them up later'

I followed behind when they made progress at going back to the main palace.
I decided to only interrupt when we have made entrance to the inner palace not knowing the King's caretakers can make their way out of their residence.
We were all skeptical about the next move to take, even for myself his Majesty and her highness were really a sight.
'First, on who could possibly imagine someone can dare wear a King's robe, then a mysterious lady not known to anyone had the audacity to jump in so comfortably, secondly their feet,her hair, his face were covered in mud, this will blow everyone's mind, it really could have been so for me if i didn't know any better'
I can't wait to return and tell my lady all about it, she will be awake waiting for..
'Wait but highness can not go back when her maids assume she is still in the room and her true relationship with his Majesty can not be exposed'
Neither can she go to his Majesty's chamber because it will too too much for them to handle in one night.
His Majesty should have thought of this by now..and the only place that she will be safe is at Consort Yeon hee's residence.
She will find a way to sneak out there.

Author's POV.
The Coronation day.

The palace was surrounded by enemy soldiers after all the wedding guests have made their entry.
Some of them lied in ambush and most were pretending to be there for something else just in case the King goes by their wishes.
Citizens from all over Goguryeo stood in line at the great hall to witness the Coronation of their yet known Queen and the glorious wedding of the King to his Queen.

Back in in the palace where the King was about to make an announcement of the next Queen who was ready to take the position.

Still Author's POV.
Just about time when his Majesty was about to make an announcement the palace soldiers surrounded the great hall of guests and you could hear their loud gasps of shock and fear.
The Consorts stood in line all in the Queen's coronation robes awaiting their call.
The King stood up with so much Majesty from his seat to address his people.
He took a step to the right then turned to face them.
He began.

"I king Baek ah swear on my father's tomb and to the heavens and earth..he took two steps to the left...to make Yoo hwa a mother to this nation and my Queen, anyone who thinks otherwise can step forward, now"
The hall was dead silent.
Everyone thought the Queen dowager might have something to say but with swords around everyone's neck even a Queen wouldn't have the nerve to speak.
"But because Consort Yoo hwa has a known illness, Consort Ji ae will take all her responsibilities for her own, until she becomes capable" he finished.

Consort Ji ae thought: Am i to be a substitute who always looks over her head in fear her power will be taken from her at anytime?
And other's might feel at ease since it is 'Yoo hwa' after all but i don't trust her on bit.

Consort Yeon woo thought: The reason his Majesty chose her over me was probably because he suspects i killed Joon woo or because she has a better family kindred, he has indeed rendered i and my family unimportant by picking Ji ae over me, who knew his Majesty could succumb to their pressure.

Queen dowager thought: I need to send a message to Hyunki, does his Majesty think we will be satisfied with this temporary comfort?He is saying he can take the power from us when he wills?

Hours later when news was brought to Ahn hyun ki of what the King had offered in his announcement he still ordered for the attack of the palace to take the crown by all means, to him it was all or nothing.
He thinks it will be all easy since
he hasn't given the King enough time to prepare and all he had to get rid of were two measly Consorts not knowing the General surrounds his men and In ho was on his feet waiting to welcome them with open arms.
