Final Chapter

A conversation was taking place between the Professor and the students during a two hours class.

Professor: I hope you are all done with your assignments, remember the play is by the end of the week.

Students: Yes, professor.

Professor: Alright the group leaders should present the scenes  you have chosen.

First group: We are going to act the scene the first Princess of Goguryeo passed away from her lung infection, when Queen Yoo hwa cried saying "How can a child leave her parents behind" and the Princess was later on reported to have said to Queen Yoo hwa "She has spent such a long time with her it is only right she visits her mother now"
Her mother is Consort Yeon woo who passed away when she was just nine.

Second group: We would want to act the scene where King Young Soo as Crown Prince tells a story between him and his mother to the second Prince.
He had said "It was a time when the Queen sends him to learn merchandise from a small trade group in the capital in disguise, the friends he made used to make fun of him for always hurrying home on time saying ' He was just being a mommy's boy'.Then he eventually became reluctant to return home early by the instructions of the Queen and a day came when he bravely stayed back to enjoy his time in the city till it was dark.
By his relief everyone was fast asleep with the lights out so he sneaked in but only to find the Queen holding a candle with one hand and a sword on the other with her hair tied in two scary ponytails.

"Queen mother" he shook almost falling to the ground.

"I see you are back early today"
"Care to explain your Highness?"
"Did your friend's sister get sick again?"

"Quee.n mo..the..er" he stuttered.
She raised the sword swiftly to his direction.
"I apologize your Majesty please forgive me.. I ..I will be coming back early..."
She raised the sword to strike him, even though he knew she wasn't going to cut him he still shut his eyes as he couldn't guess her intentions.
'What if it didn't stop at his hair this time' he thought.
And this thought was right because the sword cut right across his robe and it tore open.
He let out the breath he was holding thinking the threat was all but then she said.

"You don't want to follow my rules Crown prince then should I follow your's?"

"No..how..."
She dropped the sword on the floor with a clang and grabed him by his torn robe out.

"Since you want us to live in a world where no one will follow the other then I suggest we just fall into the sea and die"
His whole body began to shake as they approached the unsettled sea.

"Queen mo..th..er...I was wrong"
He tried to get out of her firm hold but to no avail.
"Queen mother please..it won't happen again I..."

Professor: Alright Alright up to here is enough to explain we will see the rest on scene.

Third group: We will act the scene where Queen Yoo hwa was seated by the shore when she was heavy with the forth Prince and she helucinated upon seeing Doha.
Doha asked her if she isn't going to slow down and she replied, not until she has a girl she will be 'Doha'.

And Doha miraculously knowing it was another boy told her she had to try again.
And we all know her fifth child Princess Doha who Prince Chin mae described as the 'spoilt Princess '.

Forth group: We are going to act where Prince Young Soo and the Second Prince were forced to cut wood from the forest and they were complaining to the Queen and seeking refuge with the King.
It was quiet a scene.

Fifth group: We are going to act where  the General and the King were standing and Prince Young Soo said "Royal father " and they both turned.
And the rest of the day.

Professor: wait wait ....you are all choosing the scenes which happened during their visit to the vacation house.
Are you insisting the school should take you to Jeju island?

Students: "Yes" they cheered.

Professor: "sure sure the school would have to do that" he scartisticaly said.
"Since we are all here just to serve you"

The students expressed a few groans of complain and the Professor hit his palm on the desk.

"The rest of you should better choose more serious scenes if you don't want to leave with an F"
"Do you have any questions if not we are done for today"

Student: I have a question sir, Did Prince Chin mae meet someone after the Hazel nut's passing?.

Professor: We will come to that but yes he wrote how he met his wife but it was in a very poetic way.
But this shouldn't be the questions you should be asking, you should ask about things unique to this story, like the relationship between Consort Ji ae and the King, as Prince Chin mae wrote even after a long time his Majesty still checked on her wellbeing. But what was it? Was it love? It remains a mystery.

And the title of the book "Where they should wither", this title is not only referring to the Queen but everyone at the palace during King Baek ah's reign.
The palace is normally where you will wither but they found happiness there and it became their home.
The historical drama of this book will air middle next year with Lee sang Yoon and Han ye seul as the main actors.
Time is up we will stop here for today.

Student: Wait Professor, since the book was only found hundred years after King Baek ah's reign how did they know King Young Soo was his child.

Professor: It was reported that when King Young Soo sat on the throne his voice, his physique and feautures were that of his father King Baek ah.
