chapter four

Arriving at work she hurried to her office to calm her panicked state and she wondered if her panic was due to the shooting or because of the intense look Kabelo had in his eyes while looking at her. She felt her breathing getting heavy while her heart beat rushed up and a surge of warmth covered her body from head to toe.

"Hey what happened?" asked Vivian sounding very worried. "You rushed in here like you've just seen a ghost or something...are you okay?"

"Is it that noticeable...!!!" Sthandiwe asked shocked.
" Yeah..."said Vivian leaning in closer to Sthandiwe's face."And your cheeks..."

"They what?!" worry and fear going through her. " They're red...!" Vivian said disbelief in her tone.

" What!!!!!"snapped Sthandiwe touching her cheeks incredulously. "Are you okay?" asked Vivian again. Sthandiwe just blinked multiple times not knowing what to say. Was she okay? And was she really blushing because of the thoughts of Kabelo.

Daniel's assistant knocked on the door making them jump with shock.
" Sorry to interrupt but Daniel would like to see the both of you now,"
"Thanks Mpho we'll be right there..." replied Vivian and the assistant left. Vivian's attention shifted back to Sthandiwe. "Are you stable enough to go to the meeting or you need a minute...?"

Sthandiwe took in a long deep breath and shook her head no.
" I'm good...let's go..." she grabbed her laptop and the files Danielle asked for.
They headed for the meeting and joined other people in the boardroom already seated.
" Thank you for joining us...." said Daniel looking at Sthandiwe and Vivian."We Shall begin,"

The meeting proceeded smoothly with everyone satisfied and happy when they dispatched to  their daily activities. As Daniel requested another meeting with her to discuss the Boss's visit Sthandiwe was happy the event of that morning had long left Vivian's mind as she left without bringing it up.

While in her office with Daniel and his assistant,Dineo arrived letting herself in. She tossed herself on the small couch and didn't feel guilty at all when everyone was staring at her.

"Good day everyone..." she said leaning back on the couch."Good day Dineo what brings you here...?" Daniel asked kindly."Well my sister promised me a fun time today and I arrived early to make sure she doesn't back out of it..." Dineo replied calmly. "I'm not interrupting anything am I?,"

Sthandiwe was about to yes  but Daniel interrupted"No...Not at all we're almost done..."
"Awesome..."smiled Dineo.
"Daniel I'm so sorry about this..." said Sthandiwe."No problem at all let's continue..."

As they wrapped up their meeting Sthandiwe's heart slowed down as  time momentarily froze when she spotted Kabelo in the building. She swiftly stood up when he spoke to one her colleagues who pointed towards her office and Kabelo saw her stare through the glass and smiled. Daniel and Dineo looked back to what she was staring at so intently and breathing heavily. Sthandiwe looked at them as they looked at her for answers while her sister had a sly smile plastered on her lips.

Kabelo finally made it to her office looking incredibly sexy and confident.
"Sorry I hope I'm not interrupting anything I was asking for you and they said I could find you here..." the sound of his voice sent a chill down her spine.
"No no you're not....you guys were done here right Daniel..." said Dineo quickly spitting the words out. "Yeah..." Daniel agreed getting the  message much to Sthandiwe's dismay.

"I'm Dineo her sister and who might you be and how do you know my sister...?" Dineo smiled widely getting up from her seat.
"I'm detective Kabelo Mbatha...and I just wanted to ask her a few questions..."Kabelo said looking at Sthandiwe who gasped for a air realising she's been holding her breath.
"What questions do you need to ask her detective...has she done something wrong..?"asked Daniel.
"No she didn't do anything it's about the shooting incident at her building that took place this morning..." Dineo and Daniel gasped with shock at Kabelo's words.
