chapter six

The drive to her parent's house seemed longer than usual as her thoughts kept drifting back and forth between Kabelo and Wendy's return.
Last time she saw Wendy they were not on good terms,they had been very close from the moment they met but then they slowly drifted apart until they never saw each other again...it's been almost four and a half years since they last saw each other.

She was happy to see her but she was worried about the horrid reason that drove them apart in the first place and she wondered if Wendy still felt the same way she felt at the time of their separation or she had stopped harbouring those cruel emotions.But Wendy had seemed genuinely happy to see her again.And before she left a few years back she had said that despite her feelings she still wanted them to be friends...so maybe their old vendetta was gone. She prayed it was gone because she had come a long way from recovery to be dragged back into her depressing state again.

Then there was Kabelo,a mysterious man,a good looking handsome stranger that came into her life and left a void that seriously needed to be filled and as much as she hated to admit it only he could fill it. It's been a while since she's been attracted to any man and she was definitely attracted him. She had spent the past couple of days wondering about him ever since the night he slept over and she's never been able to get him out of her mind and she didn't like it.It bothered her that she felt this overwhelming desire to look him and get lost in his brown eyes.

She had been through a lot for the past couple of years because of a relationship and after that she had planned not to be in one for a really long time. And she had kept herself in check focusing on nothing but work avoiding and rejecting any guy that seemed to be interested in her even her boss Daniel.But then Kabelo came along and he invaded her home and her mind. Her sister had told her she couldn't keep up her shield for long as one special guy would enter her life and it would come tumbling down. Her sister was afraid she was distancing herself from dating because of her past relationship and for a while she thought so too.Until she had to admit to herself that her life didn't need a man and she was doing what was best for her. Atleast that's what it seemed like for her...

As she parked in the garage the family wasn't there but her sister's was there meaning her father wasn't home it was just going be the three of them.

"It's about time you got here I've been suffering all alone..."said Dineo gulping down her glass of wine sitting by the kitchen counter."Now you have to get some of it too,"

"Nice to see you to sis!"said Sthandiwe sarcastically."What's wrong? where's mum?"
"In her in the living room waiting for you. They've been attacking me for three hours straight since I got her and it calmed down a bit after dad left...it was too much man!"whined Dineo.
"Who were attacking you...What are you talking about Dineo you're not making any sense!"Sthandiwe threw her hands up in the air in confusion.
"Mum and Dad...."said Dineo."What about them?" Sthandiwe poured herself a glass of wine and sat by her sister eager to hear what has been happening.
"They were giving  me the t...t...t...the TALK..."whispered Dineo.
"If you don't start making sense anytime soon I'm gonna go back to my apartment I swear!"threatened Sthandiwe.
"They asking when are they getting grandchildren!"

Sthandiwe coughed as she almost chocked on the wine."What!?"
"Yeah...I know,my reaction too..."said Dineo refilling her glass.
"What did you say?"asked Sthandiwe now more curious than ever."I said nothing,I had nothing to say and they went on and on about not getting any younger and how they're happy to have us but wished they had a boy that was gonna give them a daughter in law and grandchildren!"sighed Dineo."It was the most difficult two hours of my life,"
Sthandiwe couldn't help but laugh at the last part.

"Oh yeah go ahead laugh at me...you're lucky Dad left just before you arrived,"snapped Dineo.
"But don't worry mum is still here and we'll be keeping her company all night!"Dineo smirked mischievously as their mother walked in the kitchen.
