After Kabelo's departure Sthandiwe was glad to still have her sister and friends to occupy her time as she realised how quickly she had gotten attached to Kabelo at such a short span of time. Dineo preached her knowledge to her, telling her it was the way of love. She had been visiting Sthandiwe at work more regularly than before which Sthandiwe was grateful for but found it weird.
"I took a cab here," said Dineo as they left Sthandiwe's office after she asked if they'll be driving separately.
"Excuse me..." Sthandiwe said in puzzlement."What did I say wrong?" Dineo asked oblivious to her sister's questioning look.
"A cab...really Dinny" Sthandiwe looked at her sister.
"Yes I did..." Dineo said.
"Dineo you are in South Africa and here those are called taxis not cabs." She laughed," you just went to New York for three days Dinny three days and came back with new words and new pronunciation."
"Says the girl who spent her high school days speaking English from sunrise till sunset!" snapped Dineo in a sassy manner.
"That was high school like more than eight years ago..." Sthandiwe defended herself.
"whatever whatever...So are we leaving or not?" Dineo put her hands on her hips.
"Yes we are ma'am..." Sthandiwe said and they kept bickering all the way to the parking lot.
"Oh fudge cake..." Sthandiwe said as they arrived in the parking lot.
"What is it?" Dineo asked. "I think I left the car keys upstairs...can you wait by the car while I go fetch them?"
Dineo raised her eyebrows.
"That's cool it's not like I'm rushing anywhere," she said sarcastically.
"Dinny...." Sthandiwe shrugged
"What just go I'm not getting any younger here..." she rolled her eyes.
"okay thanks I promise I won't be long..." Sthandiwe ran to the elevator with Dineo learning against her car.
"Just hurry up"Sthandiwe quickly retrieved her car keys which were right where she placed them a few hours earlier. She then raced back down to the lot hoping Dineo won't be too annoyed with her which she found weird because she was always driving her while her car was stored away.
"Thanks Dinny for your patience I'm back with the keys and ready to..." Sthandiwe said arriving next to her parking spot to freeze at the sight of her sister Dineo and Daniel making out on her car. They both quickly pulled apart and looked at her. They all stood there silently with the atmosphere thick with tension and awkwardness.
"Umm excuse me," she looked at both of them,"what is going on here?" Dineo and Daniel just looked at each other awkwardly.
"Daniel...Dineo I asked a question what is happening here?" Sthandiwe asked more agitated than before. Her temper was very fragile but her shock was unhidden to them.
"Sthandi I can explain...this is not what it looks like trust me..." Dineo stuttered a little figering with her fingers.
"Oh really!" Sthandiwe's tone was incredulous, "enlightened me then."
They both looked at each other and then back at Sthandiwe's scowl."He kissed me first..." Dineo replied shocking both Sthandiwe and Daniel.
"Excuse me!" Sthandiwe exclaimed, "I find my boss and my sister swapping tongues on my car in the parking lot of my office building and that is your excuse,"" Really..." Daniel questioned Dineo.
"What you did," she replied.
"Okay I'm losing my patience now...someone better tell me what's going here and they better start talking now," Sthandiwe was losing her temper and Daniel stepped forward," Sthandiwe look I'm sorry you had to find out like this but we're together,"
