Month Seven, Year One

1:59AM

Shooting out of the comforting warmth of the bed, Rye found himself once again breathing heavily, the nightmares showing him images of a grim dream, one where his own sister wouldn't speak to him and his friends abandoned him all as his stomach growled with pain and hunger unlike he had ever known. Luckily that wasn't his reality, yet. Rubbing the sleep from his eyes his gaze went to the large window at the side of the room through it he saw the cold blackness of night, nothing shone up there as a thick layer of clouds high up blocked the void of stars, all he could see was the strong limbed Pinetree that bowed and bent as thick winds gusted through Whitefall and bashed against it, these thick winds were also bashing against the house making windows quiver and pipes whine.

Rye had setup this little place for himself as a place where he could sneak away too and bring women, this way he could avoid using the Private Room that Nick Hong had setup and it's cum stained sheets. This way he could also avoid the rumours that sprouted up every time two people went into that room together; he had learnt that the hard way when he went in there with Chloe Mraz.

The soft rhythmic breathing next to him was intrinsic, her breathing was beautiful really if someone's breathe could be said to be beautiful. Rye was allowed a small measure of relief, next to him sleeping soundly was Gabriella Stewart, the two were naked only covered by the thick sheets of the king-sized bed, the sweet patch that they had made together was still damp in the middle of the bed meaning that he didn't sleep long at all. Laying back down and closing his eyes, Rye blocked the rapid winds that swooped outside and the creaking of household objects, affected by the long absence of human contact, the sound of a door that needed to be fixed or the rusty squeal of the drain and pipes that needed to be cleaned out. Even as the door to their room crept opened Rye fought to keep his focus on falling back to sleep, even as the wind currents around them seemed off, sending cold shivers through the sheets, Rye still kept his eyes shut and the outside world blank.

He couldn't believe how his own sister was snubbing him now, all because he had slept with her best-friend it was nothing major compared to the other factors that were working against them right at this moment and yet she wouldn't even speak to him or acknowledge his existence. He couldn't see why she was so angry anyway, and why hadn't she frozen Chloe out as well since she had frozen him out. Regina was weird, she was so blinded by her fixation for Silas that it blocked out everything else made worse since she liked him before the Event and now with everything he done she found a way to justify his choices, she was cold towards any girl who was even rumoured to have slept with Silas or flirted with the idea of sleeping with him due to his status, worse was the fact that she completely shunned Rye's repeated suggestions that Christopher Nike would be a far better boyfriend.

Then there were the pains that the Student Council were going too, forcing people not to even speak to any known associates of the New Masons and those who were favourable towards them were always on thin ice constantly, as if they had chosen the wrong side in some war that wasn't even happening. This was also happening for the younger years who favoured the ideas of the Watchmen and what they spouted on about, both were dangerous but did they really have to shove a gag in people's mouths just because there were different sides in Whitefall now. At least the New Masons didn't matter right now, the last time anyone saw one of them was a month ago and since then they had been hibernating at Silas's compound, the distance between them and the School making any undertaking undoable unless someone wanted to be trudging through the snow for an hour or longer.

As if picking up on his insecurity the door to the room started to creak again, no doubt swaying back and forth since it wasn't jarred by anything or closed properly. It just reminded Rye that if he was to continue using this place than putting some elbow grease into things might be needed.
