Month Two, Year One
10:15AM
The sun beat down through the slanted windows making for a shitty wakeup call each day and the wide-open space of the town hall was always cold especially during the nights as Silas found out, and entertainment of porn magazines had passed leaving him to wallow in self-pity. It was only out of pure laziness that he couldn't be stuffed moving himself over to the manager's office that was complete with a bathroom and refrigerator in the portables.
His bed were three soft double mattresses stacked on each other, placed on the stage looking out over the rest of the hall. The month that he had been here was one of loneliness. He had secluded himself away from the rest of Whitefall, this was mostly for everyone else's safety though because of the apparition of Adrian that Silas saw whenever he closed his eyes. The entire time he had been here no one had come to visit him although he had noticed people staring in through the fence, trying to see if there was any movement.
Huffing, Silas was out of food and water. There was no way he could go back to the Student Council because then they would have won and he wasn't ready for that to happen, if he looted any place inside the region there would be a mob wielding pitchfork after him. Slowly he realised that his only choice was to go out beyond the region to the places that they wouldn't be able to get too.
Dragging himself out of bed Silas threw himself into a shower which then led him to clothing himself. Stepping outside, he stopped when he felt the heavy breath against his legs, his sight drifted down and to Ralphe, Silas's neighbours Australian Kelpie.
'Come on bud, we're going prospecting.' Silas Chapman.

Ever since the Event he had forsaken any idea that his job as School Captain was going to be easy, as it turns out making a stable society is incredibly hard.
But this stability was threatened. When Silas turned his back on everyone it gave people the same idea, so now they were dealing with a whole bunch of no-shows and even robberies as well as extortions and worse.
Jacob Shepard had taken a classroom for his office, a majority of the four-legged tables had been moved elsewhere and the teacher's desk was now his, towards the back was a door that led into the storage room which Jacob now used as his bedroom.
The laptop in front of him was charging with the cord plugged into a roaring generator that also powered the other electronics Jacob had around him. But mostly it fed power into the coffee-machine that Jacob was using far too often.
'Hey Jacob. The group we sent to the dam have no idea of how the thing could work so for the time we are going to be stuck using generators.' Coby Alba.
Coby was below average height with a skinny figure, he had pale skin and short wavy black hair with light blue eyes. He was a part of the Student Council group and had been for ages and when this all started, he had particularly big input since he was one of the smartest in the school.
'Okay... how long do they think before they get the dam running then, a time frame so I can tell everyone?' Jacob Shepard.
'That's all they said to me. So, go for a few months. two months at the least.' Coby Alba.
'Come On! I get that it's a complex operation but we sent fourteen people to get the godforsaken thing operational?' Jacob Shepard.
'Don't get your hopes up but I will talk to them... Oh and before I forget, I just noticed Silas Chapman drive out of town in his yellow truck.' Coby Alba.
