"What did he look like?"

Aaliyah was laying in bed, a book resting on her knees.  Happily reading and drinking tea when the blonde doctor, or something of that sort, had come in.  Her perfect sun kissed tan had always given her a twinge of jealousy.  And how her dark eyes kept peaking over her glasses and glancing at her in and irritating way was not helping her mood.  She had been friendly when she had introduced herself.  Janelle was her name.  But afterwards she had been less enjoyable.

She had known Janelle for eleven years.  Ever since her old doctor's wife died and he moved to Lidia to stay with her parents and raise their two kids working a part time as a vet.

She was asking questions while she did her weekly check-in.  This one was annoyingly asked while she had a stick holding her mouth open.

She mumbled out her reply.  But as she expected, it came out as a bunch of muffled grunts.

"What was that?"

She preferred her old doctor.

"He had light brown hair and green eyes."

"Anything else?"

"It was dark."

"How dark?"

"I don't know, the moon was bright but the curtians were drawn."

"Was it full?"

"Maybe..."

"About what time did it take place?"

"Oh!  I don't know!  And I don't suppose most people remember your dreams with absolute clarity either?"

Janelle let out a small chuckle.  "You aren't most people."

"No.  I'm sick.  But most people can get sick.  I'm just really sick."

"The proper term is 'ill'."

Aaliyah let out a frustrated sigh, "Does it matter?  I won't be getting better.  That's all that's important."

"Not with that attitude you won't."

"We all know that it's true.  You just don't want to tell me."

"No, you're results aren't very good.  But everything's possible."

"That was a long time ago."

Janelle let out a chuckle, "A very, very long time ago."

"Exactly."

Janelle rolled her eyes.  "How have you been feeling lately?"

"Besides terrified?"

Janelle sighed, pinching the bridge of her nose in frustration.  "Yes besides terrified."

"I'm fine.  It's how I'm going to feel that scares me."
