They met that night and had started heading out early the next morning. Now they were at camp, in a little spot outside of town hidden in the mountains, huddled around a hand drawn map of the castle.
The plan was simple. Behind the castle there's a door that enters into the servant's hall, a huge maze of hallways that can get you anywhere in the castle. Enter through that door and start towards the armory. Xavier Richard and the twins would take out the guards and enter the room. Then they would move as many weapons as possible out and scatter before the guards did a shift change and they noticed that they were even there.
They waited until it got dark so that they wouldn't be as easily spotted. If they waited until the city was asleep than it would be to late and they needed to leave as soon as possible.
The people who wouldn't be taking part in the raid would be moving the camp back into the forest. Once they were done they would mount their horses and ride until the woods, where they would find the camp where it was the last time they had been there. Only basic supplies would be in their saddle bags.
When the sun actually set they started moving towards the castle. This is where they hit their first road block: the mountains. The way the castle was built, the back was a semicircle; the two back corners prevented anyone from the kingdom who had half of a mind. It took twenty minutes for all eleven of them to make it around. After that it was all smooth sailing. They only ran into two servants, which mystery girl knocked out with one swift movement and hid in the rooms that they had just come out of.
It was once they got to the armory that they slipped up. Instead of the expected two or three, there were seven guards in the hallway within running distance of the small wooden door that they could only lead to the armory. As mystery girl drew her dagger to try and take them on, one of the twins (Robyn had given up trying to tell them apart ages ago) grabbed her shoulder and shook his head.
She yanked her arm and started down the hall when he pointed to a figure at the end of the hall. With a start, they realized that the other twin wasn't with them.
The twins managed to get six while still managing to keep only one on the field at a time. It was like there was only one of them. It was freaky. Which is probably why one had tried to get away, and probably how he actually succeed.
Even though it only took them a few moments before they noticed his absence they still couldn't find him. Or at least Robyn couldn't. Though he was sure that the lack of signal or teammate behind him meant that neither Richard or Mystery Girl had found him either.
The others could complete the mission. But they couldn't if they didn't find him.
