It was dark by the time they had gotten to the river that they had crossed just yesterday afternoon. Supposedly the official boarder between Zyden and Lidia, but hardly anyone went into the forest.

"Why are we-?" Aaly started to ask before Iris pulled her up stream, and uphill, with the same determine pace that she had been doing all day. In the last leg of the hill it got really steep, and the river beside them turned to a waterfall- like rapids.

"Iris-" Aaliyah began.

"We're almost there." before she could finish.

And though Ally wanted to complain, she was right. At the top of the hill, far enough back so that it couldn't be seen from the river, was a little house. What Aaly had imagined a fisherman's cottage would look like from her books.

Iris slowed to a walk, Aaly's legs felt molton from half jogging, half walking that they had been doing basically all day. Her lungs didn't feel much better. Iris seemed fine though. Was it normal to be able to walk that long?

"Iris?"

"Yes?" she sounded a little annoyed, but at least she was answering her questions now, which Aaly considered an invitation.

"What's going on?"

Iris took a deep breath before answering. "We should probably go inside for this."

"Okay..."

Iris hopped softly up the steps and opened the door. Though something went off when she saw a single lamp light from the darkness of the, non windowed, cottage. Though it wasn't a major warning or anything, Aaly still didn't want to go in as much anymore.

Though when he companion walked right on in unfazed, she felt a little better. She felt even better when she heard a womans soft voice say, "Iris, I wasn't expecting you. What brings you here?"

"An emergency."

"Where you followed."

"No, but I did bring a friend." Iris then beckoned Aaly with a gentle hand gesture.

She gingerly stepped through the door way. But stopped in her tracks. It couldn't be, the light was playing tricks on her. But even as she stood there staring at the ghost in ront of her, she didn't fade or disappear, she felt her face melt into something along the lines of pure horror and that's exactly what she was feeling. It couldn't be, she was dead...

"Mommy?"
