The word "surprised" didn't begin to describe what Robyn felt when Mystery Girl came flying in. He wasn't sure what he was going to do. Especially when one of the arrows had hit his leg and a guard had come at him. He had lost his only leverage, which was now on the ground, breathing very heavily.
He was in the middle of counting off his option when she just came out of nowhere and hit the guard head on.
He turned towards his leg and held his breath as he gave a firm yank and the arrow head came out, the wound started bleeding immediately. But he couldn't focus on that. She had bought him some time. He was going to use it.
Robyn clenched his teeth as he pushed himself up.
The girl, had somehow managed to get away, though she couldn't have gotten far.
But that didn't matter. He just needed to get out of there.
The shouts of soldiers and the clanking of metal wouldn't stop making him cringe as he hid amongst the rocks and nursed his wounded leg.
It wasn't long before he was found by none other than Raquel and her brother, "Robyn! We need to leave!"
"But what about..." gesturing back to the castle.
"Everyone has gotten out fin."
"Even..." He was spinning his hand rapidly as he tried to figure out what to call her. He wished he knew her name.
Though despite the lack of identification, Raquel's face slowly fell from confused to realization.
"Iris will be fine. She can take care of herself and Charles sent backup."
"Raquel!"
Remembering why they were there, it wasn't long until Robyn was back on his feet and limping with the two siblings over the rocks. They had their horses waiting for them at the bottom of the incline onto the mountain.
Slowly sliding themselves down and painfully mounting, they rode to the forest. Their backs to the castle and the kingdom that it was in.
