Robyn had managed to sit quietly while the man spoke. Ryder, however, was much more impatient. It was irritating. Mr. Sanders could barely get out two words with out interruption.
"You expect us to risk our lives for some crazy scheme of yours too... too..." Ryder left the sentence unfinished, because he couldn't finish the sentence. And like his brother, he was interested in why exactly this total stranger wanted then to do something so random and dangerous. But unlike his brother, he was genuinely curious.
"Are you going t let me finish?" Charles seemed to be getting annoyed too.
Ryder stayed silent. Silent but stubborn.
"Without the armory under their feet, the palace will be defenseless, so it'll be safe to send our guy in."
Ryder opened his mouth to say something, but Robyn beat him to it.
"That's really criptic, why do you need us to do go destroy the armory? Why can't you just send your guy in? And what's he going to do?"
"I'm sorry Mr. Barraly but I'm afraid these are questions I can't answer. Though I suppose you'll find out soon enough. But for now you're going to have to just trust me."
"And why should we do that?" Ryder was cold again. It was kind of scarey.
"I suppose you shouldn't."
"Than why ask us to?" Ryder replied. Robyn had never seen him so freaky calm. His hard mud- brown eyes were always hard, but not that... intense.
But Charles wasn't scared. Or he didn't show it. "Such good questions. But let's be real. You want to trust me."
