It was dark. Very dark. To the point were Ezme couldn't see the other end of the boat. She was chilled to the bone but she didn't complain, she just continued to steer using the long stick in her hands to keep the boat from jerking to a side or crashing against a rock. She didn't complain because they where actually doing something. They weren't waiting anymore. Abril had finally agreed to leaving and she wasn't going to complain.
