Sunday 10:45 AM
William walked up to you with a kind smile plastered onto his face, you didn't know what to do, you were frozen in place, would he remember you after all this time? You decided to remain calm as you took a deep breath and turned to face him. "Hey, do you need any help with that?" You tried your best to remain calm but the fear was seeping through. "Oh, s-sure!" 'Why did I say that?' you thought to yourself as he took the groceries from you and you led him to your house, you could feel your body heating up. He didn't seem to remember you but you were still on edge as you walked up the steps and unlocked the door. "Mom i'm home." You called from the door as William looked around. "Nice place. The owners who used to live here were nice people, I used to see them often, but then they moved away, I always wonder what their daughter looks like now." You swallowed hard, trying not to be nervous but you couldn't help it. "You can set those down on the table, w-would you like anything to drink? Water? Coffee?" He set the groceries on the table and turned to smile at you. "Water would be fine." You took a deep breath and walked into the kitchen. "Go ahead and make yourself comfortable, what's your name sir?" You already knew his name but you didn't want him to get suspicious. "William, but most people call me Mr. Afton." You rummaged through the cabinets to look for cups when suddenly your mom walked in, over-hearing the commotion. "Hey honey, who'd you bring-" Her eyes widened when she saw him, you quickly spun around and gestured to her to play it cool. She cleared her throat and put on her friendliest expression. "Hello, and you are?" He smiled softly. "William Afton, pleasure to meet you miss..?" He paused as he waits for a response. "m/n (mom's name)." He stood up and shook her hand. "Pleasure to meet you ma'am." She cleared her throat. "Well I would love to stay and chat but I have some things I need to take care of, Mister Afton it was nice meeting you." "Please, call me William." He smiled as your mom walked upstairs leaving you alone with him. You filled the glass with water as you glanced over at him, he must be at least 22, but no older than 28, he had what seemed like the start of a beard, either that or he shaves often. He wore a white button-down shirt with the sleeves rolled up to his elbows with a dark purple vest over it which showed his light tan skin and the fact that he seemed to work out fairly often. You started to make yourself some tea, occasionally glancing over at him. You decided to try and strike up a conversation, which is something you didn't do too often. "So, what do you do for work?" You walked over and handed him the glass of water, he took a sip as he sighed. "Well, I used to work at the old Freddy Fazbear's but I uh.. Something happened and I um.. Quit. I've been doing a few jobs but none of them are quite like Fazbear's." You sat in the chair across the table. "Did you hear they're demolishing the building soon?" You asked. "Yeah it's a shame, I quite liked that place, the kids were so sweet." You cleared your throat uncomfortably as you took a sip of your tea. You really didn't want him to get suspicious but you really wanted to get to know him better, so you leaned back a little in your chair attempting to relax as you asked him some more questions. "So, is there anything you like to do in your spare time?" You kind of regretted asking the question, but you were curious to know his response. He sighed softly. "Well, I like to go for runs on the weekends, I walk around the neighborhood most of the time and enjoy the weather." The two of you sat in a somewhat comfortable silence for a short while as he glanced around the room, finishing up his glass of water as he stood up as you soon did. "Well, it was nice meeting you, what is your name?" You cleared your throat. "Y/n." He smiled. "That's a lovely name, I used to see a young girl named y/n at Fazbear's." You chuckled nervously as you shook hands. "What a coincidence." He soon left as you closed and locked the door behind him, sliding down the door's surface until you eventually landed on the floor, rubbing your face trying to comprehend what had just happened. Your mom walked into the room and knelt in front of you giving you a stern look, and you knew that when she looked at you that way she wasn't happy.
You sat at the dining table across from your mom who was giving you a seriously stern look. "Why would you let him inside let alone talk to you? I told you he was a bad man and you didn't listen to me! I'm trying to keep you safe." You sighed softly, your voice slightly shaky. "I know what he did.." Your mom's expression softened as she sighed, but she knew it would have had to happen eventually. "Who told you?" She said in a calm voice. "Lily." You didn't want to lie to her, you've never lied to your mother, well maybe once but, that was when you learned your lesson, you haven't lied to her since then. "I understand why you didn't want me near him though, its okay." You said in an understanding tone. "But mom, you're going to have to understand that I'm grown up now, I don't have to hide all the time." She sighed. "Well, I didn't want you getting hurt." You sighed deeply and paused momentarily as you looked her in the eyes with a soft and understanding expression. "Mom, he's clearly forgotten about us, maybe we can try to get to know him? He doesn't seem like he'd want to hurt anyone, let alone me." Your mom sighed, she knew you wouldn't allow no for an answer and she gave in. "Alright, but if you see any signs.." You sighed as you smiled softly at her. "Mom it'll be ok." She took a deep breath and smiled back at you. "Alright." You stood up, walked around the table and gave her a big hug that seemed to last forever, but you enjoyed her warm embrace and eventually let go, she gave you a kiss on the cheek and you went on with the rest of your day.
When night came, you didn't hesitate going to sleep, but what you didn't know is what was waiting for you in your dreams.
You arrived in yet another dream at Fazbear's, you glanced around as the whole room was full of people, one you recognized as your mother, this must be a memory. But if this was a memory.. Then this must be your 10th birthday. You looked around for your younger self as you finally spotted her, surrounded by your friends. Some of them you didn't recognize, must have been older friends that moved before high school. Then you saw him, William Afton was on his knees entertaining you and your friends as your younger self treated him like a best friend, what she was the least aware is what would soon happen. You sighed as you walked over to the group, they seemed like they ignored you, honestly everyone did, maybe that's just how memories went normally. You got onto your knees beside your younger self as you started to watch William, the way he looked at your younger self gave you the chills, that look in his eyes, it was wrong, back then you were only a child, why would he think of such a thing? Your mom walked over with her camera and told everyone to get in for a picture. "Smile."After your younger self and your friends took a group picture, your younger self asked your mom if you could take a picture with William. "Oh alright, is that alright with you William?" Your mom asked him as he smiled. "It sure is Mrs. l/n." He smiled as your younger self and William took a picture together, you took a deep breath as you wait for it to happen. William whispered to your younger self as you listened intently. "Heya little dove, whaddya say we go to the back? I've got a special present for you." Your younger self smiled excitedly at his seemingly harmless offer, you shivered at the thought of it, of course back then you were a child and wouldn't know any better, and the rest played out exactly as Lily had told you. You eventually woke up, taking a deep breath and getting out of bed. You got ready for school and said goodbye to your mom as you headed out the door, but today you had plans, plans to erase William's memory of you and start over to become friends.
