You felt every inch of your body tense up, frozen stiff, you tried to find something to say but you couldn't find your voice. Then Jessie spoke up in a slightly nervous tone. "We're very sorry Mister Afton, we were just leaving." William looked at you for a moment, as if he was trying to figure something out. For a moment his eyes lit up and you started to feel sick, Lily and Jessie tugged on your sleeve, encouraging you to move. William smiled ever so faintly and stepped aside. "If I was someone else you kids would be in a lot of trouble." You walked past him and out the door as the others followed. As you kept walking you had the feeling he was still watching you, but you refused to look back.

You and the others went to the park to take a moment to collect yourselves, sitting on the edge of the fountain, you took a moment to think about what had happened back there. The memory.. It felt so real. You found it difficult to think about anything else. Was that really William? What made him change? You snapped out of your daze to look down at your hands which were trembling slightly, you looked over to meet Lily's gaze, who was looking at you with a concerned expression, she opened her mouth to speak but was interrupted. "That was way too close!" Matthew stammered, his voice was shaky and panicked. Jessie stood up and took a coin out of her pocket and then tossed it into the fountain, making a light but audible splash. "Yeah.. It was kinda worth it though." She admired the faint shine of the coins at the bottom of the fountain. Matthew rolled his eyes, then looked at you expecting a reply. "Y/n?" He called to you softly. Your eyes lingered on a small flower poking through a crack in the cement. You pondered on it for a while, the voices of your friends drowned out by your thoughts. After a while of thinking, reality started to come back to you, the sounds of your friends calling your name snapped you out of your daze. "Y/n!" You looked up to meet Lily's gaze again. "I spaced out again, didn't I?" Matthew chuckled sarcastically. "Yeah you were, looked like you'd entered another dimension." Lily sighed, ignoring Matthew's comment. "We were just about to head out, are you coming with us?" You sighed softly. "No.. I'll walk home by myself, it was nice hanging out with you guys." You said softly. They exchanged looks at each other and Lily sighed, kneeling in front of you as she smiled softly. "Well, if you ever need anything you can call me." Lily stood up as she and the others headed out leaving you alone, you started to feel a little uncomfortable.

After a while of sitting there a couple walked by and noticed you, the woman spoke up in a sweet voice. "Hey honey, are you okay?" You looked up at her and smiled softly. "Oh, yeah I'm fine, thanks." She smiled a bit and they kept walking, you sighed as you watched a flock of ducks swimming in the pond as they pecked at bread crumbs thrown into the water by a small group of kids. You felt your hands and arms unconsciously tense up as a strange feeling ran up your spine. "Well well, lone wolf again I see." A familiar voice said from behind you. You turned around to see William walking around the fountain. "Oh hey. So, you won't tell anyone we were in there, right?" You said with an innocent tone. He chuckled as he sat down next to you. "No I promise I won't tell." You stopped for a moment, that sentence reminded you of something. 'No I promise I won't tell, please I wanna see!' The words echoed in your mind for a bit, leaving you unable to think about anything else for a moment, until William spoke up. "Hello? Anyone home?" You sat up straight and looked at him. "Huh? Sorry I guess I must've spaced out, I tend to do that." You chuckled nervously as he smiled a bit. "No worries, it happens." You looked at him for a moment, he seemed rather content, has he changed? Should you tell him the truth? Well maybe another time, you weren't quite ready for that just yet.

After a while of talking with William you left for home, but as you started to walk off he stopped you. "Hey, wait!" You turned around to look at him. "What?" You asked curiously as you noticed him holding something behind his back. "What's that?" He smiled a bit and held out an old Foxy plushie, your heart sank into your stomach as you realized whose it was. "I've had this for a while, and I thought it should go to someone else." He looked into your eyes as he handed you the plushie, you felt a chill run down your spine knowing he's had it this entire time. You cleared your throat. "Thanks William, I remember having one of these as a kid." Your voice trembled a little but you couldn't help it, you could have sworn William wasn't smiling anymore. "Well in that case, it belongs to you now." He smiled faintly, you felt like your heart was being squeezed. "W-well I should be getting home now, my mom will be worried about me if I stay out too long, bye William." You called after him as you started to walk away, holding the plushie close to your chest. When you got home you collapsed onto your bed and let out a deep sigh, you rolled onto your back and looked up at the ceiling. Does he know? Surely he doesn't- Does he? You shook off the thought as you went back downstairs to watch the news. "Lets see what's going on." You sat down on the couch, still holding the Foxy plush close to you as you eventually drifted off to sleep.

The Next Morning

When you wake up you found yourself in bed, as you got out of bed you tried to think of how you got here. You probably fell asleep on the couch. You walked down the stairs and into the kitchen where you found a sticky note on the fridge from your mom. You took the note off the fridge and leaned against the counter as you read it. 'Hey baby, hope you had a good night's sleep, I need you to get a few things and you can do whatever you want afterwards, love mom.' You looked at the list of things you need and got ready to go out. After you finished getting ready you walked out the door and locked it behind you and got on your bike to go to the store.

As you cruised down the street on your bike thoughts started to flow into your mind again. 'Hey honey are you ok?' 'Do you need help?' 'Let me help you' 'I'm trying to protect you!' You shook the thoughts off as you looked at the road ahead. "I wonder how fast you can go.." you said to yourself as you push harder on the pedals and zoomed down the street, feeling the wind in your hair and face you drifted into a turn, a little shaky but you managed. As you had the store in sight you slowed down a bit, turning into the parking lot you rode up to the front door and leaned your bike against the wall of the building and walked in. You browsed around for a bit, picking up things you needed and a snack or two for the road. You walked up to the cash register and put down all your things as you looked at the store owner, she was a kind older woman with a sweet eight year old rough collie named Maggie. The owner knew you and your mom well because when you were younger, your mom would come in all the time even if it was to pick up a lot of groceries or just a few things. She looked up at you, speaking in a soft and sweet tone. "Is that my little y/n?" You chuckled. "Yeah it's me miss Shepard." She laughed softly. "You've grown quite a bit dear." You smiled as you knelt down to pet Maggie, she seemed to remember you as she wagged her tail gently and licked your face. "I guess I have."

After you got everything you needed you headed out of the store, the bell above the door jingled. "Bye miss Shepard, have a good day." You walked outside. "Have a good day, dear!" She called after you as you looked for your bike but couldn't find it. "Great, as if my day couldn't get any better." You groaned sarcastically under your breath, starting to walk home until you heard something, you quickly spun around and looked behind you to see a small group of boys, seemingly Juniors, stealing your bike. You gritted your teeth, rage filling your body as you tensed up and felt like you could do some damage. You started to walk towards them as they quickly noticed you and tried to hide the bike, but did so very poorly. As you walked over to the group they didn't seem too intimidated but you were pretty sure they knew it was your bike by the look on your face. "Excuse me boys, this is my bike." You said bitterly. They looked at you, then back at each other. "So? You obviously weren't using it so it's ours now. Besides what are you going to do about it anyway? Sophomore." They laughed mockingly as you bared your teeth, feeling like you could punch them, but you didn't know how strong they were so you would just try to talk them out of it. But before you could say something you saw someone you weren't expecting, he made you sick.
