SURPRISE! I guess I wasn't done with my little Nordic spree-- we just took a break from it. Hope you don't mind~! Because I know I'm not bothered by it at all! XD
And also~ Guess what movie I just went and saw~ BIG HERO 6! And also, the character of Aunt Cass in that movie looks EXACTLY how I pictured Alice as a mom, so that's why her picture is on the side. I was SO shocked when I saw her on the big screen-- I was like, "Alice? You're real?"
----------------------------------------------
Our first target was Morocco-- the southernmost area of the seaside border, to be exact. Well, that's actually not a very exact location...
Okay, okay, I'm going off on a tangent. For the safety of many, many people out there, let's just say that we were on the coast of Morocco. That way, nobody knows exactly where we are and we'll all be a little bit safer. I'm sure you understand.
Garnering up a few fake IDs and passports for getting into the country was a cinch for us. After all, what was a little hacking to centuries-old immortal beings? Nada.
... Now I'm imagining a couple of skeletons dressed in really old-styled clothing and trying to figure out how to work a desktop computer. Come on, Alice, focus! Lives are hanging in the balance and you're preoccupied with a skeleton asking its friend what the word "download" means.
'Aw, come on. That's actually kind of hilarious' I thought.
Anyway, because of the civil war, Morocco was actually one of the safer places to be because they weren't quite as involved as some of the more central or southern African nations. Peace treaty after peace treaty barely assured us of that. Aircraft were still not allowed to fly over or into any part of the continent, so our small team was forced to enjoy a little journey by ship instead of by air.
"Do we have any volunteers for this mission?" England asked of the mostly quiet congregation. A few nations had decided not to pay attention or were daydreaming-- in Greece's case, he was actually dreaming.
I debated the matter with myself silently. 'Sure, I was the one to suggest we have a mission, but do I really want to go?' The conclusion I arrived at was obvious, however. 'Duh. Of course I want to go! Go big or go home. That old Nike slogan: Just do it!'
My hand was in the air, and England marked down my name and gave me a nod. Looking around the room for any more hands, his eyebrows moved up a hair (Oh, look. A pun) upon seeing that Norway's hand was also calmly raised.
"Nor? Seriously?" Denmark asked him. "Why?"
"Because I vant to," was Norway's flippant remark.
"You wanna get captured again?" the Dane pointed out.
"I von't," he snapped.
Letting out an exasperated sigh, Denmark also put his hand up in the air. "I'll go, too."
"Vhat?" Nor protested. "Nei... You're impossible."
"Actually, I would like to go as well, to be honest," Finland chimed in. Sweden murmured his agreement.
"All of you?" England asked of the four of them. "Alright, but we can't have too large of a group go, or else it would be too conspicuous."
"Well, split us into two groups and we'll keep track of each other somehow," America piped up, "'cause I totally want in, yo."
Somehow, by the end of the meeting, our group had grown from six to eight, including Seth and Miliana. The day had progressed into mission briefing, getting us all fitted with gear, and then traveling across Europe to get on a ship that we'd arranged for already. The trip wasn't too long, though we traveled under the cover of night.
