POV Mari
It's been a few hours since Pete showed up at my front door. Everyone has left except for Wes. He doesn't want to leave me alone. "Wes you really don't have to stay here. I'll be okay" I say putting a hand on his shoulder and looking into his eyes.
"I know that but I want to stay. You've done so much for me and I want to stay and protect you" he said putting his hand on my shoulder in reply.
"Fine let's play some video games. I need something to do."
We played video games for what felt like five hours but ended up being only two and a half. I felt tired and stressed for the events that have happened. I feel my eyes getting heavier as I try to pick a character to play. Wes looked over to see and turned off our game a switched to Netflix.
"Let's watch some tv so you can nap" he said sweetly.
"I like that idea" I said. My eyes were closing right as Wes picked out a show and the last thing I heard before falling asleep was a goodnight almost to quiet to hear.
POV Wes
I look over to see Mari dead asleep with in seconds of me finding something to watch. I just sat watching the tv for around fifteen minutes before I say Mari start to toss and turn in her sleep. I got up and held her head in my hands to sit placing her head on my lap. I let my fingers run through her hair to make her calm down. As soon as I did that a heard her hum lightly in response.
"Oh Mari" I stared down at her face. "You are so beautiful". I watched tv for another hour before I soon felt my eyes become heavy. I didn't even feel that tired a few minutes ago.
"I promise you Mari. I will always look out for you" I said as my let sleep take over me with the love of my life sleeping on my lap.
