Brett X Reader

Y/N's POV

"Hey Y/N, hurry up we're going to be late." Brett said while poking his head outside the door.

"Yeah, just one more minute" Y/N answered.

I heard a chuckle from the hallway.

"Y/N you said that like 20 times for the past half an hour." Brett answered.

"This is real this time." I answered.

I left the room after a bit and we both got inside the car.

"Did you forget anything?" I asked Brett.

"I checked my things while you busy preparing. Don't worry about it." Brett answered.

"Let's go?" Brett added.

I nodded and we proceeded to drive to the wedding.

As we arrive, we got out of the car and we greeted our friends from the office I work for.

"Hey Eddy, Did the ceremony start?" I asked.

"Hey Y/N, Hey Brett, glad to see that you made it here. The ceremony has not yet started but it will soon." Eddy answered.

"We'll go upstairs now. See you there." Brett said.

We waved goodbye and proceeded to go upstairs. As we make it to the secomd floor we happen to pass by and say hi to the newly weds.

"Hi Ray! Good to see you." I said while giving him a warm hug.

"Thanks for coming Y/N and Brett. Take a seat at your designated tables because we will start soon." Ray said while pointing at the table reserved for us.

I thanked him before going to the table and taking a seat. During the whole ceremony, I noticed Brett seemed to not-be-his-jolly-self.

"Hey what's wrong? You seem really blue." I asked while holding his hand.

"It's nothing Y/N. Don't think about it too much." He answered really trying to avoid it.

"Brett, Be honest with me, I know something isn't right. Come on we've been together since senior high school. You can tell me anything." I assured him.

"Fine. It's just that I'm a bit jealous. Seeing the newly weds makes me jealous." He answered wanting to end the conversation.

I held unto his hand even tighter and told him

"Someday Brett, We'll be like them."
