Chapter 30: Suspention

"Clementine, you can't just fight a kid in the middle of the lunchroom," Carly said before turning the car on.

Clem was just suspended for a week, while Sophie was suspended for three.

"You're lucky Omide is the principal and that he is making people erase the video. You're lucky we have enough money to sue who even uploaded that video." Carly wasn't too upset with the girls, she knew it was hard to get under her skin and after all the things Sophie said about Her family and Louis along with his family just pissed her off.

Carly looked back over at her daughters only to see tears running down her face. Carly sighed, she hated seeing any of her kids cry.

"Sweetheart, I love you but I'm disappointed in you. I'm not mad because I know how hard it is to get to you, but at the same time, I know you know better. Can you just help me understand why you did it, why you decided to beat her up?"

Clementine looked at her mom, her eyes still wet and filled with tears.

"She started talking about you guys and Louis' family. Calling you a whore, AJ, and evil spawn and saying she felt bad for dad.

She called Tara a hoe, she said Ashly was fake. She also said that If she were Laura's mother she would kill herself because she's a brat and that Jason is a druggie. Then she said I should have been the only one to die in the car accident that killed my biological parents."

Carly was completely shocked when she found out what that girl has said about her daughter. "Is that why she got suspended for a longer period of time than you?"

Clementine nodded, still not talking or looking at her mom. "Clementine, honey. None of this was your fault, I'm not mad at you. I'll talk to your father and see what he has to say about it but I'm pretty sure he'll be on my side. I'm not gonna punish you for defending yourself and your family. Let's just go home and watch a movie together, okay?"

Clementine sniffed and finally made eye contact with her mother for the first time. "I'd like that..."

Clementine and Carly had gone through most of tenor favorites movies before Carly had to go pick up her two other children.

"Hey, I know I'm kinda in trouble, but can I go over to Louis' house? I told Ashly about the fight and she wants to hear about it and make sure I'm okay. So can I go?" Clementine fiddled with her thumbs as she asked her mom if she could go over to Louis' house.

"If you promise to be home by dinner it's fine by me. Be safe and text me when you get there."

Louis was walking home from school and texted his girlfriend, he was just checking on her and seeing what her parents had to say about the incident that had happened only a couple of hours ago.

Louis hadn't walked him by himself ever since Clementine moved into town since they lived so close together walking home together just made sense to the two.

It was only a ten minutes walk before he got into his driveway and unlocked the door to his house. Louis was granted by his mom in the kitchen and TJ down the hall.

"Hey honey, where's Clementine? I thought she was coming over today," Ashly said as she saw her stepson walk into the house.

"Well she was, but she got into a fight during lunch and got suspended," Louis admitted truthfully, he knew that once Ashly heard what happened that she wouldn't be shocked.

"Clementine got into a fight, with who?" Tara yelled as she came running down the hall. "Was it with Sophie! Please tell me it was with her, she was such a bitch."

"Tara-Jane Smith, watch your language. Lou, was it her?" Ashly seemed very interested in this story now. Sophie was also rude to her and the rest of Louis' family whenever she was around. Thank goodness they were only together for a couple of months.

"Yup! She was talking mess about her family and you guys and she just wants to have it. She was suspended for a week and Sophie was suspended for three. Minerva and I had to jump in and break them apart. I was gonna tell her to stop but she already gave Jaide her hat and had me hold her promise ring."

Tara began to laugh like crazy, just imagining the whole fight and how Clementine would have for sure beat Sophie's ass while Ashly grabbed her phone and texted Clementine to see if Louis had left anything out and to make sure he was telling the truth.

Sure enough, what Louis said was true. Clementine did explain in a lot more detail so Ashly would know what Sophie actually said.

"Oh my gosh! Did she really say all these things?!" Ashly showed Louis all the text Clementine had to send her.

"Yeah, she told me that her mom and dad didn't punish her though because of what Sophie said. So she's just chilling at home but she might come over later so she can talk to you about it some more. You think dad will be home by then?"

"Well, she's always welcome to come and talk to me. About your dad, I'm not sure, he went in super late today because Laura had a doctor's appointment this morning."

Only 30 minutes later Clementine was knocking on the door and waiting to be let in. When Louis opened the door she didn't even say hi to him, she went straight over to his moms and sister and started telling them all about the fight.

"Welp, it's nice to see you too babe," Louis said after his girlfriend just ignore him. "Ya, ya, ya. You too. Anyways!-"

Clementine was ranging and ranging about everything to Ashly, going into detail and even telling her about how active Sophie was on her main page.

It was whenever Clementine told the two that she jumped over a table they realized just how bad Sophie had got under her skin.

"Wait, those tables are kinda wide and far apart, how did you jump that far!?" Tara questioned. "I don't know, I was just so pissed that I don't even know how I did the stuff I did!"

After about two hours at Louis house, Clem realizes that it was all ready a little past the time that her family had dinner so she had to get going.

"I'll see you guys later, bye!" Clementine hugged Louis' mom and his sisters' bye and then left. Louis had to drop Clementine back off at her house before dinner.

"Okay, I'll see you later. I'll let you know what happens." Louis and Clementine kissed each other goodbye and then she got out of the car. Louis stayed in the driveway until she was in the house.

She hung her keys up and put her wallet on the coffee table in the living room before going over to the dining room and sitting down at the table.

"All right, lay it on me. What my punishment, no phone, no wi-fi, I have to babysit with no pay. What is it?"

Clementine started cutting into her food while looking at her parents, nervous to know what they would be taking away from her as he punishment.

"Since you don't really do anything bad, your punishment is that your curfew is cut back by one hour and you can't spend the night at Louis' for two weeks," Lee told his daughter as he watched and waited to see what Clementine would do or say.

"Mmh, seems fair. Can I still go over though?" Carly and Lee both looked at each other, now knowing what to say.

"Yes, but you can't stay later than 8."

Clementine looked back at her parents and nodded her head, "Seems fair enough..."
