"They cussed more, but when they partied, they were best buddies," Anne said with a small laugh.
"Audrey cussing more? I can't imagine." Shelby said.
"Hey! I don't cuss that much!" Audrey protested.
"We used to party so hard when Audrey came home, oh my." Alice commented.
"I'm teasing you," Shelby said softly. "And what kind of parties?" she asked.
"Just about everything," Anne said.
"Oh no..." Audrey mumbled under her breath.
"But our favorite has always been the LGBT ones," Alice commented. "Courtesy of Audrey Tindall." She teased.
"Oh?" Shelby raised a brow. "Let me guess, they're not little kid ear appropriate?"
"Oh, age was certainly not a problem for us... we had fake ID's." Alice chuckled before turning to Morganne. "And that's a very bad thing."
"Yeah mom, of course." Morganne rolled her eyes, Audrey letting out a chuckle.
"They were my favorite because the music and the people were much more fun," Audrey explained.
"Really?" Shelby asked with a small chuckle. "I never took you as someone who would use a fake ID."
"Yeah... college days were not the best," Audrey said softly, knowing people would instantly remember what happened.
Anne and Alice nodded with sad nods. "You're definitely a lot better now though," Anne said as her smile brightened.
"I am... so, so much better." Audrey smiled softly, shyly. She felt a tiny hand taking her free one, and stared at Morganne, who was now smiling sadly to her.
"You are," Alice agreed.
Shelby nodded as she took her lover's other free hand. "She is. Like I told Morganne, and Audrey's parents, I'll keep an eye on her for them."
Audrey smiled shyly at her lover, softly squeezing her hand.
"Thank you, Auntie Shel." Morganne said softly.
"You're welcome, honey." Shelby smiled softly.
Anne smiled too. "Thank you. I know that means a lot to them."
Audrey couldn't help but feel herself getting emotional. Her eyes got a little teary as she stared down.
Shelby wrapped her arms around her lover's waist and placed a kiss on her cheek.
Audrey smiled softly to her, letting her head rest on top of hers after the kiss.
"Okay, no more sadness!" Alice exclaimed playfully. "Ready to go home?"
"I am," Shelby said with a soft smile. "What about you, gorgeous?"
"Me too." Audrey nodded.
"Me three! I want to show Anne my room!" Morganne smiled excitedly.
"Why don't you guys have lunch with us tomorrow?" Alice offered. "This way Morganne can show you her room."
"Yes, please!" The girl begged.
"Sounds good to me," Shelby said. "What do you think, baby?"
"It's perfect for me." Audrey smiled to the girl, who squealed in excitement.
"Alright, I'll order something because cooking is not my thing." Alice laughed.
Shelby let out a small chuckle. "Why don't I cook something? I've even got Audrey cooking with me. We can make lunch. Would that be okay?" she asked.
