Sixty-Three: Misunderstandings

"I guess I'm sad w-with myself... I f-feel like I always c-cause things to get b-bad..." Audrey confessed softly, another tear falling.

Shelby frowned at this. She sighed as she continued to rub her lover's back. "That's not true, babydoll. Please don't be upset with yourself. You never cause anything bad between us. We always work through things, don't we?" she asked.

"I g-guess..." Audrey mumbled, more tears falling now. "I'm j-just really mad a-at myself."

"Why, baby?" Shelby asked softly as she brought one hand to gently caress her lover's cheek.

"I d-don't know... the whole A-Anne thing, the whole p-panic attack from y-yesterday, the whole s-sex thing too, a-and now that... I feel like I c-can never be normal." The actress said softly, broken.

Shelby lifted her lover's head, making her look up. "Baby, please don't be upset. And no one is normal, especially me." She chuckled sadly. "I've got my problems too, and you've never left my side. I will never leave you."

Audrey took a deep breath to stop her tears, nodding sadly as smiled weakly. "It's n-not a bother to stay w-with you... not a-at all."

"It's not a bother to stay with you either. You mean the world to me, Audrey, I would do anything for you, anything to make you happy."

Audrey smiled softly as another tear made its way down her cheek. She nodded softly. "Thank y-you, babygirl."

Shelby nodded as she wiped the tear away. "You don't have to thank me, gorgeous." She smiled.

"O-okay..." Audrey breathed out, letting her head softly rest on Shelby's chest again. "You are the best."

"I think you're the best," Shelby said with a smile.

"Shh," Audrey giggled softly. "You are... and also the sexier." She mumbled.

"Nope," Shelby said with a smile.

"Yes, you are, c'mon," Audrey smirked softly.

"How about we both are? Just like we love each other equally?" Shelby asked.

"Nope," Audrey shook her head. "You've never seen the things I have when it comes to yourself." She smirked; those silly talks always caused her to feel better.

"And that's how I feel about you, babe. You've never seen how gorgeous or sexy you are from my eyes." Shelby explained with a soft smile.

Audrey felt her cheeks blushing as she stared up, giggling as she shook her head. "Silly," She mumbled.

"It's true! You're gorgeous and sexy, Audrey." Shelby said before placing a soft kiss on her lover's lips.

Audrey chuckled as she shook her head, kissing her lover sweetly on the lips, a hand caressing her cheek. "You... are... sexier..."

"No," Shelby said as she gently pulled away. "You're just as sexy as me if not more."

"Okay." Audrey rolled her eyes, sighing playfully.

"I love you." Shelby smiled. "I love you more than I will ever be able to express."

"I know exactly how you feel, my love... I love you more than anything, Shelby... I swear you're my forever and always." Audrey smiled before kissing her lover once again.

"As you are mine," Shelby said against her lover's lips before kissing her back lovingly, gently yet passionately.

Audrey smiled as she kept kissing her lover back, just as passionately as Shelby's kisses.

Shelby continued to caress her lover's hair and her cheek as they kiss. She kept it slow and soft.

The actress pulled herself up a little, hand still caressing her lover's cheek, kisses still passionate and gentle.
