Seventy-Nine: One Last Morning

Audrey melted at the kiss, nodding as they pulled apart. She dried her hands before taking Shelby's to guide her upstairs.

Shelby walked with her lover up the stairs and to their room. Morganne was snuggled up in her blanket on her mother's lap, with a cookie in her mouth.

Audrey couldn't help but chuckle at her niece. "I thought you had a tummy ache?"

"I had, but now I'm good," Morganne explained as she smiled to her aunts.

"That's good." Shelby smiled as she grabbed the bag with the candy they bought this morning.

Audrey sat down next to her sister, who was holding Morganne, and snuggled under the covers, motioning for her lover to sit next to them.

"Is that candy?" Morganne asked as she saw Shelby taking the bag.

Shelby chuckled as she nodded. She sat down next to her lover, cuddling into her side. "There's a few different kinds in here. You can have whatever you'd like." She said as she handed the bag back over.

"Not too much though." Alice said softly.

"Mommy!" The girl pouted as she took the bag, staring up at her mother.

"I just don't want you getting a sick tummy again," Alice explained softly, lovingly as she softly ran her fingers through the girl's hair. "You know it's hard to sleep when you have an upset tummy."

"That's true... sorry," Morganne said softly, starting to dig inside the bag.

Audrey smiled lovingly to her sister before grabbing a cookie. "Oh that's good... mom always buys those fancy, tasty things."

"It's okay, baby." Alice said softly.

"Can you grab me one cookie?" Shelby asked her lover. "I bet they're good." She smiled before looking at the TV.

"Of course." Audrey took another cookie, gently placing it on her mouth. "There you go." She chuckled.

Shelby chuckled as she took a bite. "Thank you," she mumbled.

"Of course," Audrey chuckled.

"Oh ew!" Morganne said as she took a bite of the white chocolate.

"See!" Shelby laughed as she chewed up her cookie.

"Audrey loves white chocolate, you can give it to her." Alice said.

"I can't believe you guys don't like it!" Audrey gasped, taking the piece and eating it.

"It tastes bad, Auntie Drey," Morganne said with a disgusted face.

Shelby couldn't help but laugh, as did Alice.

"I agree with Morganne." Shelby said.

"Nope" Audrey shook her head as she finished eating the piece.

Morganne chuckled as she took a piece of another chocolate, this one was a milky one. "Hm..."

"Is it good?" Alice asked softly as she continued to softly run her fingers through the girl's hair.

Shelby finished her cookie, and went for another.

"Mhm," Morganne nodded, watching the TV. "Angelina Jolie is so pretty."

"I agree," Audrey nodded, taking another cookie as well.

Shelby's brow went up at her lover's comment. She tried to not her jealousy come over her, or show it on her face. She said nothing and ate her cookie.
