Christina's p.o.v.
I bit on my nails anxiously, unable to calm the collection of voices inside my head. You shouldn't have turned Maddie away, that's not the type of person you are, Chris.
And, did you hear her say she was... pregnant? No, it couldn't be. Surely she can't be... right?
I sighed, looking at my door. I turned her away when she needed me the most. Regardless of what she has done to me, regardless of how she's treated me, I'm a better person than to just kick her to the curb. I grabbed my phone and my keys and left my house.
Outside the sky was overcast with grey, and grey, miserable clouds collected to form a thick, heavy blanket overhead. A light, cool raindrop softly fell on my skin.
I looked around, but there was no sign of Maddie. Across the street I noticed Vanessa's car. Me and Vanessa had been neighbours for almost three years now, and we had developed a friendship. I'd introduced her to Maddie, and we'd all hung out a few times... maybe Maddie went to her?
I took a deep breath, making my way across the street. I rang her doorbell and tapped my foot, folding my arms while I impatiently waited. She finally came to the door. When she saw me, she stepped out, closing her door behind her. "Umm, hey Chris, what's u-"
"Have you seen Maddie?" I interjected, cutting her off.I held my breath, hoping that Maddie was with Vanessa. "Yes" Ness finally said. I let out a sigh of relief. "Great, where is she?" I asked, a wide relieved smile on my face.
"I don't know, She left about half an hour ago. It's not my job to deal with that bitch" Ness retorted, shrugging and walking off.
My face fell at her reply. "She's pregnant, Ness." Vanessa stoped I'm her tracks, slowly turning around to face me. An amused look was on her face. "Well shit" she chuckled, A look of disbelief on her face.
"This isn't funny, Ness. Do you have any idea where she could have gone?" I asked impatiently. Ness pondered for a moment, before finally replying.
"Well she was going on about how she didn't have anyone blah blah blah all alone and stuff, but I did bring up her ex boyfriend's name. Maybe she went over to his- maybe it's his kid??"
A memory suddenly sparked in my mind. A long time ago- the night of the party- I remember speaking to a kid called Jack about Maddie and Zach's relationship.
"Great, let's go!" I grabbed Vanessa's hand and began to drag her to my car but she pulled away. "Uh-uh, I don't wanna be a part of all this. You go ahead, I'll give you the directions to his house." I sighed but agreed.
About twenty minutes later and I was outside his house. I hopped out of the car and walked up to the door, knocking lightly.
"Oh, is this another one of your hoes you forgot to tell me about?" Zach retorted sarcastically. Jack rolled his eyes. Jack walked away for a moment, And Zach leaned in. "I don't actually think you're a hoe, you look like a very nice and sweet person, I'm just really mad at my boyfriend." Zach whispered, making sure Jack didn't see. I laughed lightly, but then realisation suddenly hit me.
Jack and Zach managed to get together! Jack had managed to grow a pair and tell Zach how he felt!!
"OH MY GOSH, JACK!" I yelled in disbelief. Jack immediately skidded bag, a surprised and concerned look on his face. "YOU DID IT, BITCH! I FREAKING TOLD YOU SO!! I CALLED IT SINCE THE NIGHT OF THE PARTY; I TOLD YOU ZACH WAS IN LOVE WITH YOU TOO!"Zach looked back at Jack, who was now lightly blushing. "You really thought you loved me? Even all that time ago?" Zach asked, a soft expression on his face. Jack looked down, nodding lightly. Wrapping his arms around Jack and pulling him in tightly, a smile slowly crossed Zach's face.
